Have just finished watching a gorgeous film, The Witches Garden, on Sky movies and am now sitting here blubbing.. If I remember rightly I watched the first one The Good Witch and I cried at that one too.. :rotfl:
I have sorted dinner out for tonight, the cheese and potato bake from The Hairy Bikers new programme with sausages and onions. I have actually used my stock pot that has been in its box since Christmas 2008. I didn't have a pot big enough for the potatoes, then I had a brain wave and out came the stock pot..oooh it worked like a dreamAnd then obviously I had to order the new book from Amazon to accompany this programme, not very OS I know but it was calling out for me - DH is going to kill me when he finds the access bill..lol.
My veg box man arrived this afternoon with the veg/fruit for the week and also some lovely free range eggs. I shall try these out tomorrow when I hope to do some baking, as I have been promising DH since before Christmas I would make him some cakes..lol
I'm now going to tackle the ironing while watching The AT show before I start cooking

hello everyone!
A work day so very little OS about it. Mostly spent in a meeting so I didnt have my lunch till 4pm when we got home. Means I don't want the planned pea, prawn and parmesan risotto tonight, so I have chucked a jacket pot in for DH who can have it with prawn salad.
Help please - M&S 3 for £10 meat, is it worth it? I usually buy meat from a very good butchers locally but not accessible in the snow.
Kind of pleased to see that my little darlings have demolished the second reduced fat chocolate cake since saturday but now they want me to make another one . Big change for my pair who generally prefer sugar laden shop cake.
I am getting a huge amount of pleasure out of feeding the birds, the missell thrushes (sp?) are still coming daily. Robin food, fresh water and halved apples put out for the birds today, and mixed grain under the trampoline for my poor chickens who hate the snow. Looks like we have fox damage to their home as well
Dusty - good news re Woody and co. I think the cold weather is setting them all off though, Tiger was curled up on the boiler with Matthew cat earlier which is unheard of. :rotfl: @ Craftyscholars quote - very apt I think for me
Purpleivy - are you referring to some "cushion love"? You know how irresistable those sofa cushions can get to those of a canine nature :rotfl:
Just checked the weather for my area. Heavy snow apparantly. Shame really it was turning to slush this afternoon :rolleyes:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Busy afternoon. I have made a big vat of pasta sauce and used some apples up in a crumble. I have a little more energy today and Im hoping this is as a result of some new medication but we will see. DD home from college early as she bad throat. Hope she ok tomorrow as she has an a2 exam.
Bitsy - you should try taking some of my new pills they make me feel constantly sick at the moment and I have totally lost my appetite
Have a lovely evening,
Love MollyxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Evening all
Can't seem to win at the moment, got to work at 7:30 on Monday & had to sit out side until someone arrived to open up, arrived at 8:30 this morning as per instructions & got a bo££oking for being late. As I was leaving I asked what time am I expected in tomorrow, don't care when, someone just make a decision. Typical school, too many chiefs, not enough underlings.
My DD has 2 dogs a Staffy & a Whippet cross, the cross used to sit just out of reach so my DD & SIL would go to her to stroke her, I told them she was trying to be the boss, so now they make her come to them.
Went to collect my prescri[ption today & popped into the Co-op whilst I waided for it, glad I did found a huge shoulder of lamb reduced to £3, woo hoo.
Keep warm & safe everyone.
Hugs Hester
