Yes bicarb of soda that you use for cooking.

I don't have muffin top really - it's my mothers apron belly and midriff that's the problem (gosh how attractive does that sound :rotfl: ). I start out with all these good intentions but just am useless when it comes to making an effort. Clearly I am just a lazy mare :o

:rotfl: @ Kadeeae - orange shape that's a new one!

Hope you get your snooze. Have you told them at work yet? They should do a risk assessment to make sure you are safe and comfortable x

I've only told my boss at this stage as it's still so early. I want to keep it under wraps until I've successfully made 12 weeks especially after all the stress of the scan last week.

My boss is on the ball though - he's got 3 young boys of his own, so he's very understanding. Just as well seeing as there was someone in the sick bay, actually sick! I think I could fall asleep right here at the moment!!!

Read the following in the paper this weekend (as one of 66 tips to de-stress) and am trying to follow it:

"It's important to think of men as welcome perks;) rather than the answer to anything in particular...once you have put aside the expectation and think of them more like entertaining visitors who help when they can, the stress melts away."

Have been trying to concentrate on not thinking DH is unwelcome visitor...:rotfl:

    Af'noon all

Just read the thread quickly while eating lunch :hello:to everyone - old or new :D

House is a bomb site and getting worse by all accounts (thankfully i'm hiding at work) only thing remotely OS that's gone on was having lleft over lentil soup for my supper last night...I actually wanted bread and butter and then thought I might as well warm some soup up to dip in - only problem was it didn't really sit well on the two glasses of red wine I had drank. lesson learnt!

I have just eaten so much for lunch that I took some of my rubbish out of my office bin and put it in the communal bin in the kitchen - just so I don't look like a greedy mare when my bin gets empties :rotfl:how bad's that?? I blame hormones naturally. To be fair it wasn't all bad - some cous-cous salad, fruit ......it just went downhill after that :D

Whenever I'm having hassle with the kids - my Mum always says that as a mother there comes a time when you wish you'd just kept dogs ;)

We have a xbreed at the moment - she's long haired and quite frankly its a nightmare! My best dog ever was a great dane x mastiff - the most beautiful dog in looks and nature. She would know when a person was down or worried and just go and sit by them with her head on their knee - it was her doggy version of a hug!

Well better get back to work - apparantley thats what I get paid for  and I thought it was my sparkling wit and personality..

I say that all the time, as my doglets are angels compared to DD, BUT DGD is a darling soooooo............... ;):D
Anyway have had a self indulgent day today, been back to the gym for the first time since my hols and swam 30 lengths, just to build up my stamina again:o:o
OS wise have the WM and TD on cos it's too cold to dry anything elsewhere:o
Tea tonight is a weird veggie risotta thing I invented yest, with wedges.

Congratulations Lowesy, I know when I was in the early stages of pregnancy I was just sooooo tired (and sick but won't mention that to you) that I used to have half an hours kip in the medical centre. It definitely helps to have an understanding boss.

Just got back from walking the dog - it was lovely apart from I stood on some ice which cracked through and icy water flooded my walking boot so got one cold foot!!! Think I'll jump in the shower as don't have to get DD from school til 4 (thanks French club!)

Bitsy, I get the munchies for chocolate a lot, and also I'm lethal with Kettle Chips - only have to think about them and I'm out rummaging around to find them  I had a look and don't fit on that article - I'm lucky in that I'm long and lean really but have to work harder to stay fit than I did. Having the dog is great as it has kept me fitter, but I can tell I've been having a quieter time over Christmas due to my slight muffin around my tum/hips :o

Hi, It has taken me a while to find you today.

We have had more snow overnight and I am still stuck with three men watching TV. It has improved a bit as they are watching a discovery channel. Even they have got tired of Dave! And sport.

I am a flylady who joined you yesterday but I am still feeling a bit lost and not sure of the etiquette on here so I apologise if I am not 'doing it' right.

bargainbird good luck with the chicken pox. My four got it at weekly intervals then went straight on to whooping cough. Sorry didn't mean to frighten you:)

toochoosey Have you tried selling at NCT meetings. Don't know if you need to be a member but our local group have regular sales.

Jinky I have given up with my WM filter DH has to deal with it. I have never been able to open the one on our present machine. Never had a problem before.

    Hi! rach
Sequeena Sorry to hear about your pooch. Our big one hurt DS1 who is 6ft 3 on He has been a bit of a worry with other dogs, noisy but never viscious. He is huge and strong and I will now always use the gentle leader with him. Dog not son. DS1 had been drinking a lot and leant on the dog but still doesn't excuse him turning on him like that. I have started reading the dog whisperer's book for guidance. Just read someody say about letting dogs on the sofa. We don't nut when DS1 is home from uni he does when we have gone to bed.

Bitsy, All my weight is on my middle too. Size 12 jeans but size 16-18 skirts. You just cant wear them a bit lower or they fall off!!

jo Thanks for the bit about men as visitors. I am feeling a bit less frustrated about them all sitting here now. Actually two of them are visitors. Just can't budge them:)
I must get on my wii then some more kitchen cleaning.

Besides he claims he has bronchitis:rolleyes::D

Been out for a bit of shopping though, we must have been a real sight, me hobbling about with my sore back and him coughing and spluttering

  • Afternoon all, am very late coming on today - DD is throwing a wobbly because she found the snow homework section on the schools website:eek:

Bacon and bean hotpot for late lunch - was yum so just cheese on toast for tea I think.

Pipkin, I bought my dog back in september and it was the best thing i ever did, shes a little yorkshire terrier and so loving and full of character. If I have someone to go out with then she can walk a surprisingly long way but when I am housebound ( I have panic attacks/agoraphobia) she is content to just pop in to the garden. She is great company when the dd's are at school :D

Not got much done today, feeling bleagh _pale_

    Well if a big @rse indicates health, I'll live to 100. :D

    Afternoon averyone. :hello:

BIG News......... Vanessa Hen laid her first egg. :j:j:j:j:j
Don't know what I expected really but it is perfect and I am very proud. :D

Managed to get some paperwork done today but wishing I hadn't as the amount of money that is owed to us by clients is very depressing. If someone doesn't pay up soon we'll not be able to pay our business bills this month.
I have heard al the excuses under the sun now for why people don't pay and it makes me mad.

OS wise, I did a bit more ironing just now and sorted out the hens bedding. Have tidied the girls' bedroom AGAIN and swished the kitchen.
OH is collecting the girls from school and after homeworks I'll get on with making corned beef hash for tea. We may have to crack Vanessa's egg on toop of it. :D
Want to do a bit more cleaning tonight (hall, stairs and landing)....May even join the flyladies next week as it's only a few weeks till Aussie descends on Haribo Towers.

Hope everyone is well.... Take it easy Lowsey and sorry to hear about your friend's daughter Aussie. xxx

    Haribo x
