Ours is supposed to have half price ones but has not actually had any in which is infuriating.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
You were lucky - ours did that and cost me over £100 vets bill! Chocolate is poisonous to dogs and as we didn't know how much she had of my Lindt chocolate (why couldn't it have been el cheapo instead
), we couldn't take the chance so had to rush her to the vets who made her sick and then she had to go onto a drip
Looks like I was lucky and so was the dog too! A tray of Thorntons eaten - never again, he never ever has human food
He threw up twice and so hopefully cleared out the chocolate
1st day of predometer today = 5000 steps from normal day give or take a few hundred when it wasn't working properly
Looks like I need to up the walking by another 5000 steps somehow  Not too sure how I am going to achieve this as present!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Help please - M&S 3 for £10 meat, is it worth it? I usually buy meat from a very good butchers locally but not accessible in the snow.
I popped in M&S today & bought 2 small oakham chickens & 1 pack of rump steak. Had 1 of the steaks for my lunch (big treat today) which was very nice. I always buy their Oakham chickens when they are on offer or part of the dine in for £10 deal.0 -
Sally can you point me to a link for bacon and bean hotpot please?
Read all but can't keep up. Hugs to those in need
Csarina - sounds like the rainbow was a good sign to meI believe in that kind of stuff......
Haribo - is Aussie coming to visit you? how cool! :j
I am trying to kick myself into action , so have done pilates today for the first time in ages. I walked to the fruit shop for leeks and FR eggs, came back , then jumped on my bike and went to the shops in the other direction. Got food in tesco, and a pack of christmas cards for my Christmas 2010 box:o. My bones are already protesting at he amount of movement today.
I stopped at the wool shop and spent a fiver on wool - linky
No idea what it is for, possibly blanket squres.:o
I finished the scarf for best friends Christmas pressie and she was delighted. SHe didn't even know I could knit. Linky.
I only gave it to her a few days ago and she really was so chuffed it was great. I was super pleased. She said she was telling someone in her work how she would love someone to knit her a scarf! :rotfl:
I am in the process of making the kitty a pillow cover. I have knitted one side - here, and the second side I should hopefully finish tonight :j . I need to figure out how to make buton holes, and how to sew it - wool or thread? Sorry those pics look distorted, my back was shouting at me as i leant over to take the pics, so just thought do it quick! :rotfl:
Food wise I had HM wheaten with a poached egg for brekkie, and dinner will be some soup i made last night - parsnip, swede and butterbean , with some whoopsied Nan bread. Oh I also had a 100g of coffee cake off the whoopsied chunki bought today - couldn't resist! Might put the rest in the freezer....:rotfl:I have started doing Paul mckenna again, so hope to slim down in next to no time. Shift the christmas/pre redundancy pounds.
Might finally push myself to make chilli jam tonight, I don't know why the idea terrifies me.:o I have been meaning to do it from before christmas.....
Very cold here but the snow is gone (unless you live in the mountains). Even when i was cycling i could feel the wind cut me.
Also ordered the crochet mag as i really want the dvd. I find youtube a bit infuriating for that.... There is a craft class I am hoping to go to tomorrow:T:j - knit and crochet. Although, someone has put concert tickets up on freecycle - if I am lucky, i won't be able to go to the craft class until next week. Fingers crossed. Either would be good - craft or concert.:D
Have a nice safe day all. xxx

I heard of someone on a forum that let cats sit on client's sewing she was doing. I advised that for allergy and other reasons that it might not be a good idea and got the response 'ohhhh you know what they're like...' and the question of why it was a problem.
The problem is that as a rule animals 'don't wipe'. I don't want to sit on someone's sofa and go away with more than I bargained for on my clothes. Sorry, but you asked!
Regarding the OP who asked about the M4. I came on the 2 junctions between Bath and the M5 at lunchtime on the way back from returning dd to Uni. It was absolutely clear at that time. I think it's J18 -20 I was on.
DS really enjoyed the mince and veg with mash that I made. It was yummy, real comfort food. ONly problem was that one of the boxes that I thought was mashed potato turned out to be apple icecream! Very little gets into the freezer unlabelled, but that one passed me by. It wasn't very defrosted so returned it for another day and got another portion of mash out! Now I 'need' something sweet. My teeth are obviously bored LOL!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hello all!
Home from work, got a lift with a colleague who is so lovely and supportive to me. I'm really lucky to be in a team where most people are supportive and doing their best to help, but it's still difficult as I feel that I should know everything already  I don't like making mistakes and I'm worried because if I do make a mistake I could end up in a lot of trouble and it could end up being very serious, luckily my boss spoke to me today and told me that he does not expect me to be accountable for the time-being, and he was actually very complementary, saying that with my attention to detail I should be fine and pick things up very quickly, which gave me a bit of a boost. I just feel like I'm drowning a little!
Anyway, we stopped at Lidl on the way home, because I don't drive I don't often get to go so that was fun for me, I was a tiny bit naughtyand bought a cast iron griddle pan and a cast iron casserole dish, both look almost identical to Le Creuset so I was chuffed as I've been after some 'hob to oven'-ware for ages!
I wasn't at all successful with the crocheting last night, I think I need to watch the DVD that came with the mag... I'm sure it would help if I could work out how to start the flippin' thing off
Positive thoughts to all, and hugs for those that would like
Take care,
Caroline xx
Edit: Zippychick: that scarf is lovely! I'd be delighted to receive that from a friend. Also I really like the dark purple and is it bright pink wool? I need to start getting creative and when I knit, not being too frightened to do anything other than knit a big square and unravel it all again
Edit: lil_me: just saw your post from yesterday, the whole family and all his friends all seem to yell at each other even though they're in the same room! It's actually quite intimidating as they're all yelling and I'm just sitting there able to understand about 1 word in 30!**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

Ummmm gonna admit that I wipe my dogs bums for them quite a lot - cos they are furry and get messy - TMI?I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Thanks Caroline! :j I know it i far from perfect, but it is my first ever scarf!I made it 60 inches long so she could double it up and do that loopy thing. So it took me 3 days of constant knitting .
Yes 4 purples and a pink. Ill take a better pic in daylight tomorrow as that pic really doesn't justify the wool xA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
