    Found a recipe on https://www.Bettycrocker.com/slow-cooker-chicken-pot-roast-dinners

Spray cooking spray on base of cooker
    Put potatoes,carrots,onion on base
    Chicken thighs on top
    Gravy on top
    Cook on low 8-10hours
Stir in thawed peas, increase heat to high and cook until peas are tender(approximately 15 minutes).

Thanks OurLass, I am going to try out the recipe at some point this week (maybe do a midweek roast), I'll let you know how it goes.

Today I am going to cook dried chickpeas, for making houmous. I couldn't find any tahini in Mr T's, so I will be using sesame seed oil instead, and try grinding some sesame seeds in the processor as well.

You can make humous with peanut butter instead of tahini.

There are several recipes if you Google "peanut butter hummus".

Thanks OurLass I'll have a look at the recipes. I made the sesame seed paste earlier, and just made up the houmous now, and it tastes so smooth and creamy (I blitzed it in the food processor for 5 minutes to make it as smooth as possible). Tried some of the chickpeas from the SC too, and they taste a lot better than normal canned ones, I'll definitely be using my SC from now on whenever I want chickpeas!

  • Leftover Lamb leg, carrots, onions leeks and mint gravy in ours today. Hope it's as yummy as it was yesterday, we could probably have eaten it all then if we hadn't stopped ourselves!

I've just put the ingredients in my SC for a chicken roast type dinner using thighs not a whole chicken. The SC is 2/3s filled up with a mixture of potatoes, broccoli, onions and carrots, and the thighs (4 of them) on top of the veg, each touching the side of the SC to cook through properly. Theres a little bit of water at the bottom, but most of the veg doesn't have any liquid on them.

I will post the results this evening, have the SC set to high, probably let it go for 4 or 5 hours to make sure everything is nicely cooked.

I made Caribbean Chicken yesterday in my slow cooker for the first time.
It was delicious....made with chicken breasts, peanut butter, chilli, onion, diced tomatoes, lemon juice and rice added an hour before serving.

Made roast dinner last night with chicken thighs and veg, and worked quite well. The chicken was very tender, but the veg was a bit soft. I think next time I'll not put any liquid in the SC along with the chicken and veg.
