Leftover lamb and veg and the leftover gravy with a bit of curry powder in to jazz it up.

Would have been lovely if I'd remembered to turn the sc on before I went to work :o

Just lent my dad my small slow cooker to experiment with. So he will be trying some casseroles.

    Hi

I have a rice pudding in the slow cooker, use this recipe below; chuck it all in and cook on high for around 5 hours - will give it a little stir after an hour. Will serve mine plain today with just a bit of grated nutmeg.

    Ingredients

    Serves: 4

    110g (4 oz) pudding rice
55g (2 oz) sugar (granulated or caster)
    25g (1 oz) margarine
1.2L (2 pints) of milk (whole, semi skimmed or skimmed)
    1/2 teaspoon of cinamon

I'm starting to batch cook ready for when little Miss arrives in a few weeks so the day before yesterday was tagine and I've just popped Delia's chicken basque in there now. Never cooked this before but ate it at a friends a few weeks back and it was DELICIOUS!

SC will be on a LOT over the next week or so!

    Kasesuppa (German Cheese Soup)

Didn't work, I think it needed to be on high all day to get it hot enough to melt the cream cheese (which I added 45 minutes before the end). So I ended up transferring it to the stove for 10 minutes to get it got enough!!
