Managed 16 portions of Chilli, it seems to go a little bit further in the Slow Cooker, I'm very impressed :)

I get 16 to 18 portions from my slow cooker chilli. It is great if you bulk up with lentils and cut down the meat. So much healthier as well.
It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.

I love lentils, I bulk everything I can with them. Especially as my 2 year old sometimes eats around meat so it gives her protien. But due to health issues I can't use potato or cornflower as thickeners, so I use tons in my soups :)

I've managed to convince 2 friends to use them now :)

    Chicken Casserole.

Using chicken theighs, butternut squash, carrots, onions, leeks, tomatoes, barley and vertillis lentils.

Dumplings (made with butter/lard mix not suet, as I hate the taste) will go in later :)
