I've put in an Irish stew. Will do for today and three freezer portions for me. No-one else in my family likes it.
I've just noticed this thread so will be surfing for ideas. I love my slow cooker. So much food, so little washing-up.Sealed Pot challenge 2011 member 1051 - aiming for £365

Theres usually a recipe book with them which is a good easy way to start. Otherwise a chilli is quite easy too, I add a packet of mince, a tin tomatoes, chilli powder and spices, and a tin of water(I use the tom tin), then throw kidney beans in too. Its really simple and a good one to start with. Good luck0 -

Had a disaster in mine yesterday. This is the second time I cook in SC (first one was ok, but not something that I would like to eat again) and it was so dissapointing. I had potatoes, onions and turkey's leg in it on low for 9 hours and when i came home it was not ready! Potatoes was not ready, meat was pink from inside and hard. I wonder what did I do wrong??0

I have easy chinese chicken in mine at the moment and it smells gorgeous:D
will serve it with rice.
Thanks to those who have mentioned about red lentils, I would never have used them thinking the family would refuse them but so far I have put them in veg soup and stew and no one has noticed :T Didn't think they would work in the chinese chicken though;)Sealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0 -
