    Going to attempt a spicy sweet potato and lentil soup in mine for lunch tomorrow, usually do it on the hob but want to cut down the time im faffing around.

    your own personal recipe? :)

    Just a pretty standard one really! Put onions and peppers on the bottom, mince on top (didnt bother browning first), kidney beans, tinned tomatoes, bit of bisto, chilli powder, couple of handfuls of red lentils, some garlic, mushrooms, a bit of water and I think that's it. Was really nice tho, the mince was slightly chunky because it wasn't stirred to death which I really liked

    One of mine has chicken stock being made from the carcasse (from the chicken cooked in it yesterday) and the other is going to have a loaf of sourdough bread when it's finished rising.

    I have seen that breads can be made in a SC but I have never attempted it- please would you share your sourdough recipe?? :D

    Going to do chicken and bacon casserole in the SC today; got the recipe from the internet and it sounds yummy!

    Have you tried making with braising steak? I buy the cheapest braising steak and its gorgeous. i think Jamie does a recipe in his USA cookbook

  • I going to try and make beef stew. got beef, carrots, pots, swede, parsnip, turnip not really sure what to do with them and how long to cook for etc.
    Can anyone help me please???

    Not yet, but I did see a recipe using braising steak in Good Food magazine yesterday that I want to try :)
