Chicken in a tomato & mushroom sauce which I will serve with rice or pasta.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0

Put in some lamb mince, with cherry tomatoes which looked as if they should be heading for the bin, onions, seasoning, a few chilli flakes, tomato soup. God knows what it will taste like, but it will be cooked when I get home and all I have to do then is cook some rice & veg!A smile costs little but creates much0

This was BURNT by the time I got home, very disappointed. My new slow cooker seems to cook hotter even on low than my old one so will only be able to put things on later in the day. There goes me putting things on before work0 -

we invested in a timer from tesco
i don't need it very often but its useful to have as i sometimes set it to come on about 5 oclock in the morning if i am making something for dinner0 -
I'm new to slow cooking but have already upgraded my bargain Tesco 3.5l £10 cooker for a 6.5l one. I'm just finishing off a batch of bolognese sauce at the moment. I'll freeze this & tomorrow I'm planning a beef Madras. Bought some incredibly cheap garlic, ginger, chillis, curry powder & cinammon stick from the local Nepalese grocer today - another first for me.
I told my husband I'm stocking up the freezer so he won't go hungry after I've left him!0 -

Its a 6.6ltr Morphy Richards, left on from 6.30am - 5pm on low. In my old Swan one this would have been fine.
I have a timer switch but with the weather warming (well it will do) I dont want food left out.0
