I have to say this is one of the tastiest meals ever to have come out of my SC. Even DH (who originally looked a bit funny when he realised it had no meat in it :rotfl:) LOVED it.
Highly, highly recommended recipe. Just one point tho - I have the MR 6.5l SC which cooks quicker than most. My first attempt at the beans on high for 8 hours was burnt, crusted on  The second attempt at 4 hours on auto - perfect.
SK xAfter 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j

We have guest over for dinner later so in my sc atm is beef brisket (browned first) then placed in the sc with some poatoes. Adding to the same pan i used to brown the brisket is sliced onions, half tin chopped tomato, tomato puree, crushed chopped garlic, red wine and some beef stock. Once mixture is combined pour over the potatoes and beef. Cook for about 5-6 hours. I am going to serve mine with peas and crusty french bread stick.0

In mine today is the first of my two christmas puds. I don't usually eat shop bought ones so hubby thinks I'm crazy to make my own but I've said I'm sure home made ones will taste much better. Hope I can prove myself right!£2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0

does anyone know if there is a way to stop beans and lentils sticking to the bottom edges of the crockpot slow cooker ? I have been oiling it first and am out all day so can't stir it during cooking. Don't seem to have any trouble with other things sticking or burning - just beans and lentils , thinking maybe i should put it on a timer switch ? as maybe its cooking for too long thats the problem (we are out of the house for 9 hours) ?Started my own business and loving being my own boss
