I made a beef casserole today but there's loads left so what can I add to make tomorrows leftovers different or could I freeze it? The beef was origionallt frozen as purchased from a farmer in the hills defrosted overnight and then cooked in the s c today
Not a fan of same meal the following day, not v os but will be if I can change it x
Hi,
you could add curry powder and rice for a curry, chilli powder and jacket spuds for a nice warming chilli or pop the leftovers inside a pie. You can also freeze it once cooked for another day.
Just a few ideas

I often freeze cooked meat (beef, lamb, chicken, ham) in tubs - enough to make a meal with or to use in sandwiches (if cooked as a joint and sliced). As Sunnyday says, a curry is a good way of ringing the changes. Using left over casserole in a pasty or a pie is another way.Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -

I worked in a restaurant kitchen and rules on freezing meat are this
1) Raw meat - freeze, defrost, do not refreeze
2) Cooked meat - freezer, defrost, do not refreeze
BUT If you have raw meat which is frozen, defrosted and then cooked it goes into category 2 - cooked meat - which can be frozen again. This is because bacteria in the meat will have been killed by the cooking and so it's safe to refreeze. Just remember you can only reheat cooked meat once after defrosting.
Hope it helps
