I had half a pork shoulder (cubed) and some cider in the freezer to use, so in with those went bacon, onion, carrot, celery and some stock. It's been on all day while i've been at work and smells lovely :) Going to stir in some creme fraiche later and have it with mashed potatoes! Mmm :)

My duck legs yesterday were so tender - mmmm, will be doing that again!

Today I have a chicken curry cooking away.

OH bought home a packet of 'Schwartz Slow Cooker Curry' which I was a bit  about (not keen on packet mixes :p) but I'm trying it!

(for some reason he feels 'safer when I follow a receipe :rotfl:)

So I have diced chicken (which I wanted to brown but wasn't allowed as it 'didn't say it on the packet!! Grr! Stay out of my kitchen!:rotfl:), potatoes, onion, a tin of chopped toms and the packet mix.

I didn't add the instructed red peppers as I don't like them (and I don't care what the instructions say! :p) but I did add some mushrooms that needed using up this morning before I put it on.

And I have to admit - the smells coming from the kitchen are fabulous! If it tastes as good as it smells I will let him buy it again :D

Yesterdays 'packet mix' Curry was very yummy - and we had it tonight as well :D

Today I've done a batch of 'whoopsie' chicken wings for the dogs :o and a Gammon for us.

Tried a bit of the gammon that was 'face-down' in the pot and it tasted a bit 'carrotty' but the top end is yummy. Will have that for tea tomorrow

I'm really loving my slow cooker - best chrimbo pressie I ever bought myself :rotfl:
