What has my occupation got anything to do with the customer service one receives in a store?

Because you might be a Manager.......for Morrisons :D
  • There's nearly always an alternative, seriously. Try jobcentreplus.gov.uk instead of yammering about how much you hate the customers who indirectly pay your wages.

There's also a word for someone who knows full well that they hate their job, are getting stiffed while doing it, moans about it incessantly yet still does nothing about it through simple sloth disguised with a thin "well, there's nothing else out there" attempt at justification.

    That word is mug.

Actually voiceofreason, that's a tad harsh calling someone a mug because they can't get a job. There really is a shortage of jobs, I know because my OH has been trying for 6 months and to even get a "thanks but no thanks" letter is a miracle.

well i've not read the whole thread but similar happened at Sainsburys recently when a PS3/xbox game was released and they was doing it mega cheap. Oh wanted one BADLY, so went to our store at 6.30am.
Store opened at 7am and then the chaos started manager actually admited they had 10 game in each format yet none of the x box games ever reached the shops floor. Luckly OH wanted a PS3 version, so got it and left them all shouting at the manager

OP,have you considered counselling for your loss?

On the more serious side, where was this member of staff rude?

She didn't take it out of your hands -you put it back on the shelf

You don't know that she bought them, she could've taken them out the back for a variety of reasons. You are assuming.

Standing there like a muppet for a while apparently saying to your wife 'I'm going to buy thebox of 4 cakes' (which incidently is an incredibly strange thing to say, even more so in this circumstance and highly unbelievable) is not telling the member of staff that you are buying the cakes -she saw you put them back and therefore, quite reasonably, probably thought you were not buying them. She is not paid to listen to your conversation with your wife.

As you were not obviously buying the cakes there is no reason why she should've told you where she was going with the cakes.

Thanks for the laugh though, although I can't decide which is more hilarious..all this over cream cakes or standing there and saying to your wife 'I'm going to buy the pack of 4 cakes':rotfl:
