Lowsey I was thinking about you when I was awake in the night so glad to hear that everything is ok. I won't tell you not to worry as I always spent lots of time in my early pregnancies in a state about something or other
Hugs to you.
As far as the chicken goes how about a tub/tin of soup from a local supermarket (if you have one near) for lunch? I used to love the Baxters c0ck-a-Leekie it was very warming & filling :T0 -
Sunny - many hugs and condolensces
sunnyday - shows what a huge county Yorkshire is - we're in York and it has been raining and thawing since yesterday!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Morning Everyone
:bdaycake: Pen-Pin - hope you have a good one and feel better today.
Welcome Newbies, pull up a chair and join in.
SG - ((hugs)) to you and yours, sorry to hear of the loss of MIL
Redruby - Hope the moves goes smooth and you are back to thrash me at FB Scrabble soon.
So nice to see so many of you taking up Crochet, I can recall sitting in the food hall at Meadowhell, with a certain BG crocheting. She was learning and I was there to help if I could, but I think with the help of YouTube and "The Happy Hooker" she had mastered it already. Certainly the rest of the group had no problems working out who the unknown OSer were, and I see she is still crocheting.
OS via me is minimal, I am trying to get all the paperwork sorted and scanned before we go, and on top of that need to back the desktop up as it needs to go back as the sound has disappeared. DH on the other had is getting a bit of Cabin Fever with the snow, which is now melting here I am glad to say, he doesn't have any hobbies as such only "messing in the garage" which it is not the weather to do, so has taken on almost all the housework (except ironing) and even some of the cooking, preparing veg, as long as I tell him what we are having. He even made the Yorkshire Pudding mix on Saturday, we have a Tupperware shaker of several years standing, and it works fine every time for us. Can't get rid of my cough, so DH insisting I go to the Drs this morning.
M - think you can get rid of the snow for next week for our journey??
Take care

Morning all.............(((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) if you need one especially SG and family, the last few weeks have been hard for you all, now you can grieve properly secure in the knowledge that your MIL is at peace and free from pain.
Redruby - I do hope the move goes ok for you today amd you are asoon settled in your new home with your family.
I have the sneezles back again, woke just after 7am, sneezed violenty a couple of times and the nose blocked up again, I am wondering if its the duvet....I hope not its new.........
I went back to bed around 4am took me a while to get off but 3 hours is 3 hours I suppose. I will have to try not to sleep on the settee today, we have an early start in the morning, want to be away by 8am or so. No racing, will take our time. We split journeys like this inot segments. I will drive the first 2 hours and then we stop on the motorway services to have a drink, use the toilets and stretch our legs, then OH takes over for 2 hours and so on till we reach our destination. We might have a quick run off to peak at the cottage, depending on what time we get up there. Our official 'viewing' will be on Wednesday morning and then we have several things to do in the afternoon, including getting the forms for our Scottish bus passes, we can actually travel down as far as Carlisle on the bus, its a regular service so you can use your pass.
Cleaning to start in half an hour, whole house......did not do the Friday clean this week and the rug in the sitting room looks as if there has been a 'bit' fight on it!!!
Having our meal early yesterday really put me off, could not decide what time is was or anything....we just had cheese and biscuits about 7pm with a drink. I had a pear and OH yogurt.
Still eating the porridge, think I should get a medal for perseverance!!! its not too bad, as long as it has not got lumps in. My grand mother used to make porridge in a double pan called a porringer......wonder if you can still get them???
Time to go and start on my cleaning and chivvy OH to clear up the corner by his chair, as usual its looks like a battle field......
When we moved last year we used two men and a van, which cost me £235, we had moved a lot of the kitchen stuff etc and some of the smaller furniiture ourselves, so it was just the big stuff and the wardrobes. No chance of doing that this time.....too far and too much to move. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Pen-Pin - Happy Birthday, have a lovely day.
Sunnygirl - sorry to hear about your mil. x
Redruby - good luck with the move.
Dreaded dentist for me today, yuk. Am very scared of dentists, no idea why. Fingers crossed won't need anything doing.
Other than that no real plans, need to decide on tea and catch up on some washing that I've let build up.
Have a goo day.0 -

Sunnygirl, hugs for you and yours:grouphug:
Pen-Pin, happy birthday:bdaycake:
I am feeling full of energy after being really ill yesterday:o so the house is getting blitzed today, I may even squeeze in some exercise as well:j
Other than that I have no idea what we are doing today:D:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
Sunnygirl my condolences to you and your family, she is at peace and out of pain now.
Redruby I too hope your move goes well, its always quite traumatic moving house and after the last time I swore I'd never do it again.
Pennypincher I do hope you have a very Happy :bdaycake: Birthday
Moiliere Keep wrapped up and an eye on your cough,my brother live in Villefagnan and said that the snow hasn't been too bad there.
MSD Hope you here from your friends soon as I expect you are like me and worry when you don't here from folk
remmie I know what you mean ,why is it that other folks cleaning seems easier to do than your own I am always doing a bit at my youngest DDs house and never mind doing it,but the thought of tackling my own is far too depressing.
Halight I had some brisket a couple of weeks ago and it was delicious in the Sc and the bit left over made the most delicious shepards pie
Well still very cold and snowy here but bits seem to be thawing slightly, I'm not sure if Uni class will be on tonight, but I can't get my car out so it makes no mind and I certainly can't walk there its too far.I will email my tutor shortly.
I have some cold beef left over from yesterday which I will have for lunch with cheesy mash and pickle.Anything left after that will be made into a shepards pie to go into the freezer.
I wonder if our dustmen will make it tomorrow. Our sideroads havn't been gritted at all and are still ful of hard packed snow ,as its not a wide road I doubt they will get down it.
Roll on the spring I can't wait to see the daffs out and the crocuses.
Hope everyone has a good day. My best news this weekend was they have let my best friend June out of hospital, after giving her lots of tests and a biopsy and a lumbar punch have decided that what she had was a bad viral infection.Thank the Lord for that. She is stuffed full of antibiotics and steroids but at least is home .Fingers crossed she continues to progress as she and her OH are off to India on holiday on 4th February for 4 weeks. Right time I got the kettle on for a cuppa
Take care all

Not much from me today, packing up flask and couple of fleece blankets just in case for trip to Bath with Little Miss Ivy. Mr Ivy going over to Yorkshire which looks like it could be an interesting trip from here, bad snow forecast 'over the tops'.
Had some porridge, must get some snacks ready as well as packing a few things for dd. We have to go shopping when we get there so she can stock up on heavier items.
DS will be 'home alone' tonight but he can deal with that OK.
