*whispers* The only thing that would interrupt the thread for me would be lots of pictures posted as it makes the page slow to load for me and the sticky asks that we post links to pictures instead. :o

Is this because you live in the back of beyond?:p:hello:

I guess it must have been a shock all us nutters just jumping in,:rotfl: but I know of loads of you, having lurked around here years, seen some familiar names from other threads I used to post on;):D

Well I made flapjacks for friend home from Afghanistan and he really loved them:j. Sent him away with a bag and gave my neighbour a couple.

Also attempting Parsnip and butterbean soup but am playing around with the recipe to substitute. :p

I made potato wedges last night and they were gorgeous and so easy!:j I don't know why I don't make them more often. Oh and i also prebaked some potatoes last night when doing the wedgies, so only had to reheat me baked potatoes tonight for dinner which was handy :D

Going to take a sleeping tablet and try get a reasonable normally timed nights sleep and get up tomorrow and do stuff. Night all:beer:
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

  • Having joined the Flylady thread, and receiving a lovely welcome, I have no complaints about you all jumping on here! It adds a nice wee frisson to the thread with all the new "faces" - a new "face" that I won't be welcoming is that creepy Snowman that Penelope Penguin has now adopted for her avatar!!

What are you trying to do woman, give me a heart attack?_pale_ ;)

(Seriously though, you do know I think he's fab don't you? And I've got my 10year old DS writing a DrWho episode all about nasty coming to life snowmen from space:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Maybe we'll be rich!)

Had a good night at work, it's settled down quite a bit after the crazy weekend.

Glad to see you posting Sunnygirl we lost my FIL a few years ago, and dealing with the practicalities really helped with the initial pain and grief. Hugs to you all.

Hugs to all as usual, they're going free over here!

Haribo if my partner cooked he'd probably do something like that :rotfl: oh that made me giggle....giggled at the wagon story too sorry, bet it wasn't funny at the time. I keep trying my lucky with multi storeys in my car, never been lucky yet....people do not like reversing out of my way :o I just described both situations to my DP and he says it sounds like us .....
carolinosourus my friend has a french grandma, he always seems to yell at her down the phone but he says it's just how they talk....I find it a wee bit odd
Dusty good luck to your DS with his exam and ((hugs)) for you as I know Mum's get more stressed than the kids
csarina, oh I like that, lovely. You can check road closures on the BBC site by region, I find them well updated (just incase) safe journey. Only other thing I'd add to the list is small change and a bottle of water (car or people if needed) I think, oh spoons, I always forget spoons
SunnyGirl if our 2 sunnygirls (with different capitals) join this is going to get VERY confusing! ((hugs)) for you I know it'll be stressful even if it was a relief in a way that she is no longer suffering. Well done on the knitting, my oldest wore ones volunteers made in hospital
Hex maybe we can do an OS MACAW, Make a Change a Week for those who don't know. Can I fluff make pastry or gravy, bread ain't great either Dusty....oh and jam....it was more a 'sauce'. Not much use am I...

Can tell I've been on healthy stews the last few days, DP says the rooms turned green so good airing out tomorrow :o see I am comfortable already :D

Right, suppose I should get on with the tasks I just posted on Flylady then get to bed, night night all x

PS I did kick him and curtain rails are up!
