Hi all, can I join in too? I'm another fugitive from Flylady I'm afraid - we were chatting too much on there and not doing the flying, so we have been recommended to come over here to chat with all of you, as you are so friendly :D
On the other hand there do seem to have been a number of posts commenting on how busy, full of new people, confusing, the thread has been today.
Oh well, I knew I was spending too much time on the computer anyway.

Yes BenW, I am in Durham too.

Crafty I've just sent a few PMs around about the same thing, we will find out what the best way forward is. This suggestion was made by the board guides who thought this would be a good idea but further cause for complaint isn't what we wanted.

Busy :rotfl: nah this is nothing. Oh and if you have your page set up different it's only 3 pages :D not much at all. This is the 'chat over the fence' thread so we were told to chat here. You wonder why we need FL....we're chatter boxes. Decided on tea, some keema recipe thing DP picked up in B&M bargains, wasn't expensive so let him buy it. Hope it's nice. Popped to Coop, the shelves were  rather empty compared to normal, deliveries had been refusing to go there as the road isn't gritted so they have had 2 deliveries instead of 8 since new year. Thankfully no more snow since yesterday :jso the area cleared which still has ice on might finally melt.

Tonight we're going to (we = DP and I)........he will help or I will kick him  he's gone back to sleep on the sofa again but I will wake him so we can put the rest of the curtain rails up as we should have curtains this week. Might even manage to get him to finally do the photos for the frames he made me buy too. Not good insisting we need something when our income has been £40 for 3 weeks, then not even using them!
One day I might be more organised...........

I was thinking the same too :(......

And a sfor the deliveries, last Thursday. I went to the local shop to get the local paper and I was told they didn't have any as the delivery guy wouldn't come into the village and just dumped them outside the hotel on the main road....

I think we all need to find a balance. We don't want to put the established noses on this thread out and scare them off, after all, we are a force to reckon with! :D but we don't want flylady swamped too because it was getting a bit much.

But then I recall it was like that about this time last year and we settled down to some sort of status quo in the end. But, it is a bit tumbleweedish on the FL thread today purely lists and nowt much else.

We need scales - proper old fashioned scales and use them to balance with!

  • Evening all - welcome to all the flyladies - you'll enjoy it here ;)

DD went back to school this morning :j DH and I both at (seperate) work, normality reigns :D

    B: Cereal
L: Leftover Ranchero Pie for me, peanut butter on ryvita and a protein shake for DH, and HM white bread LO chicken sandwich, satsuma, yoghurt and a twink for DD
D: Pizza and wedges (sadly not HM :o) but yellow stickered :T

I'm currently in the process of putting my Tesco delivery away, but got bored :o So I thought I'd post my "to do's" in an effort to get motivated :D

    So.....
    • Finish the humumgous amount of washing up still to do
    • Finish putting shopping away
    • Clean down the kitchen sides
    • Make lunches for tomorrow
    • Sort out college bag for tomorrow
    • Make some lemon curd muffins
    Have great evenings everyone :j
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

I agree with all that, I think a lot of people have good intentions at the start of the year but some, like me, tend not to keep up with them....I think I posted on another thred(poss the declutter 1 a year or 2 ago and didn't keep it up for long....back on it now though(thanks to the flylady routine))
