    Hi all! :hello:

    Longtime lurker, sometime poster! :D

Need to get back to OS'ing; after starting a new job in September I have seriously fallen off the OS wagon :o Think its about time I started posting more to keep me on track! Flylady, grocery challenge and meal planning are all next on my list to look at!

Lots of snow still here in Berkshire, doesn't seem to want to go and apparently there's more on the way

Have just worked out my mealplan for the next week, shouldnt have to buy anything else (fingers crossed) although I may stop by Sainsbury's on my way home to see if there are any whoopsies :o

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Page 6!! Welcome to all the flyladies, just don't try to convert me I am far too long in the tooth!

Sunnygirl....sorry to hear your news, but at least she is at peace and out of pain.

Haven't seen grass since before Christmas, we never got the blizzard promised for yesterday and there has been a slight thaw so hopefully will see it before long.

OH went mad this morning when he went for paper....bought lamb chops and T-bone steaks...he has paid for them, they were not on a list, the chops we had for lunch were lovely, but he is only being refunded for the cat food I told him to get, does he realise that we are pensioners and need to hang on to as much money as possible??

    Csarina...have a safe journey and hopefully happy house-hunting to-morrow.

Ruby...trust that the move is going well.

    Happy birthday to Pennypincher.

Going to have pate and suchlike for tea, ate far too much at lunch to consider a cooked meal later.

Has taken me so long to read this thread to-day that I have forgotten most of what was said, not sure about it being hormones, unless they have a connection to Alzeimers...Mioliere, trust that doctor will help you get rid of that cough.

Our Education minister closed all schools until Thursday 14th when forecasts were so bad last week, there is murder going on now as schools are expected to make up the days out of holidays and many of them could have opened, especially in towns. Opposition are having a field day in Dail (parliament) and are pointing this out as another element of the government's imcompetence...wish that they would all pull together and get the country sorted instead of fighting with each other!

Hugs to all, stay warm and safe

    Marie

Backtrack on schools....they can now open to-morrow, DD4 and DGS2 back on Wednesday.

    Goodness me! Hello Flyladies! :hello:

Sunnygirl - so sorry to hear your news, but I think you possibly feel a little relief if that's not the wrong word. As in she isn't suffering any more. Big hugs to you and your family.:grouphug:

Noahspm- Thanks, Ill go look for that now :D I really want it!

So much to comment on I have forgotten it all. Took some chicken stock from the freezer yesterday, so going to make soup tonight of some sort. Also need to cycle to tesco to get some bits and pieces and some chicken for Kitty cat. I can't remember the last time I went shopping so am doing well getting by on what I have .

Still loaded with the cold so not impressed.
    :o
my friend who has been in afghanistan is calling tonight, he is home for Christmas leave, so I better go get the flapjacks on.
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Gosh - I cant keep up today and feel really bewildered by the number of new posters. Welcome to OS thread. I will get confused so apologies in advance.

Well all my kids at college and school today. :j:j We had more snow overnight so I was very sceptical but they managed to open the schools and college. I have still not set a wobbly foot outside yet which is very depressing. Still Im making plans for the end of the week and hoping the snow will be gone.

I have done mountains of washing today. No cleaner and my sympathies to MDS re losing her home help. I can see it happening to me too soon  I have done my best with sorting and DS3 did some cleaning yesterday but its still quite messy. Egg on toast for tea as DS1 and DD not in so my planned meal is out the window.

    have a lovely evening,
    Mollyx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Hi all, can I join in too? I'm another fugitive from Flylady I'm afraid - we were chatting too much on there and not doing the flying, so we have been recommended to come over here to chat with all of you, as you are so friendly :D

Sunny - glad your MIL went peacefully; lost my MIL in September, so understand your loss.

Lil-me, I think we are from the same neighbourhood (if I have remembered right who is who - this thread IS pretty busy!)

Look forward to chatting with you all,

    Ruth xx

Chick-pea curry is in the oven, and DD's jacket is nearly finished :T
