Evening all
Got to work at 7:30 today, unfortunatly no one thought to tell me it wasn't opening until 8!
I found it very difficult at work with being so deaf, so made an appoinment for the Dr's, my ear is perforated, but the won't do anything about it at my age, what joy, the government tells us we all have to work until we're 70, but the Dr's write us off at 58!
Hugs to Sunny & Moilier & Diva good luck with the move RR.
Keep warm & safe everyone.
Hugs Hester

*shuffles in to say hello to the nice people on the daily thread and the flyladies*
Hi all
(((Hugs))) SunnyGirl
interestingly this thread is actually FAR shorter than the flylady thread....
I won't really be around to chat much other than Thursday and Fridays, just wanted to 'feel the pulse' really and keep in the loop.
I think we have ever so many flyladies ATM and that's what's causing the problem (I have lurked here on and off for a whiile though ladies)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Flyladies - I don't think anyone is complaining about your presence. It's just a shock for the thread to be at 7 pages at this stage of the day!
Thoroughly agree with above....nice to see so many newbies....we just comment on anything different.

Oh well, I knew I was spending too much time on the computer anyway.
I see lots of welcomes to the thread from the Daily regulars so I hope no one feels unwelcome.
It's lovely to see new faces on here. :j
*whispers* The only thing that would interrupt the thread for me would be lots of pictures posted as it makes the page slow to load for me and the sticky asks that we post links to pictures instead. Not a major thing though
Hope you all stick around. :T
Brownies was cancelled due to frozen pipes and OH decided to cook the fish and chips for me. :A He found a bag of alphabet potato shapes in the freezer from the last time I was away  and kindly spelled a very rude word out on my plate.
Have actually put the ironing board up in the living room in the hope that I can motivate myself to clear some of the pile.
Sunnygirl, I hope the family are bearing up. xxx
Take care everyone

Hope the twins didn't see!!
:rotfl:
He hid it under my fish.
PP, the 7.5 tonne truck was hired by OH to move us back to Glasgow and we drove to Swindon to pick it up. He was supposed to be driving but we couldn't find his licence so he made me do it.:eek::eek::eek::eek:
This was 5pm rushhour in Swindon and I wanted to avoid the infamous magic roundabout so drove under a low bridge instead.:o:o
The police managed to escort me (backwards) out on to a dual carriage way and we made it home.
Packed up the truck that night and left for Glasgow the next day.... Unpacked all our wordly good and left again to head down south. The whole journey wasn't helped by me being slightly phobic about motorway sliproads so we didn't stop the whole way.
Just before we got to the hire place The wing mirror jumped off near a big tree.
Next day I had to drive back to Glasgow alone for a job interview but only got 200 miles before I realised I'd left my suit in the kitchen so had to go back, by which time, OH had noticed I'd left it and tried to catch up with me passing me somewhere on the M5.
Anyhoo... long story short, I got the job, OH moved up a few days later and he married me 2 months later. Silly sod. :cool:0 -
Evening all!
:hello:
Just popped in to say hello, haven't read through everything, honestly, one day with the FLYladies and look what's happened !! (I'm kidding)
Happy birthday PennyPincher! :bdaycake:
SunnyGirl: so sorry to hear your news, I hope you and yours can take comfort that it was peaceful at the end.
RedRuby: I hope everything goes well and you settle in quickly
Everyone else: hope you've had lovely days and that things are going well! Hugs and positive thoughts to all :grouphug:< I think this is the best smilie ever, it looks really dirty lol
BF is currently having a rather heated discussion with his mother over the phone in French, he gets quite loud and I'm not sure what's going on, he was talking about his cousin but not sure what the raised voice was about...:wall:
Work is stressful, I've picked up someone else's caseload and he's left loads of things un-done so I'm trying to tie up loose ends, plus learn a whole new system and deal with problems with my cases on a daily basis as they occur. Once I pick it up I'll be fine, I just feel very lost at the moment because I don't know what I'm doing and I don't like it at all!
OS- I have received my 'learn to crochet' magazine so I will, I'm sure, be spending many a happy hour hooking. Either that or I'll end up throwing it at the wall, especially if BF tries to 'help'.
Take care,
Caroline xx
Edit: HariboJunkie just read your stories, thanks for the laugh!**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D
