Hi everyone. I have had a tough week getting re-motivated after my birthday on Sunday and need to get my head back in gear as we go away at Easter. I've decided that I'm going to try a different approach and try the Rosemary Conley Kick Start Diet which is low fat and low Gi purely because I don't feel that I have learnt much on WW. I find it's ok knowing the Ww point value of a certain food but without being aware of the calorific value I'm struggling when it comes to eating out and I want to adapt to being able to make good choices when I go away. Anybody tried this diet? x
There is a subsection within the ww pack which shows how you can go out and use values to 'guesstimate' the points value of things. Can't remember the name of it off the top of my head but you would say, for example, steak 4 points and pasta 5 points for enough until you feel full
I think with eating out you need to just bear in mind the same things as you do when preparing food at home; as long as you don't just use ready meals you will have a good idea of portion sizes of things e.g. mashed potato portion size of a lime, chicken portion size of a computer mouse...God is good, all the time
Do something that scares you every day

well I didn't make it to get weighed last week as it has snowed!!!! Again!!!! But I have at last got my head in the right place IYSWIM so I am determined to see a weight loss when I do go next week!!!
got up early this morning and went for my usual swim only to find the pool closed (due to the blinking snow no doubt-boooooo) so went back to bed and have only just got up!! Still I haven't eaten anything while I was asleep lolGo hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
put on half a pound this week! - not as bad as the 3lbs the scales were showing yesterday!
Changing my weigh in day to Mondays to see if that helps me at all.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

hello to all the lovely losers!
last saturday the scales showed a 2lb gain, I'm weighing in tomorrow morning and hoping i might have lost those two to go back down to 12st.
Have to say my motivation has been a bit lacking, and there has been some celebratory eating and drinking too after my sister had her bub earlier in the month. Think the motivation has lulled as lots of people have commented on my weight loss or just said how well I look and its kind of gone to my head - even though I am still wanting to be slimmer. But need to get back on track as am looking to try on wedding dresses in May and want to at least hit my target (11st7) or even get lower by then.
by the way, pink and whites are those pink wafer biscuits, lots of discussions on this board about them!
Sian - some non-biscuit snack ideas... - ww vanilla rice pot (1.5) banana (1.5) Sugar free jelly (0) muller light (2 I think) crumpet (1) raspberries (0.5)
I sometimes buy frozen raspberries and take them to work in a tupperware, they stay cool and don't squash and are defrosted by elevenzes! and are nice and sweet!
Have a lovely weekend and well done folks:)fran-o0 -

I'm a recent convert to crumpets - never really liked them before but they're great as a filling snack
I buy blueberries when they're on offer and take a 50g portion to work with me, very nice to snack on and only half a point.0 -
a good day food wise, cooked a beef casserole but OH wasn't hungry and when i thought about it I wasn't really either so for 'tea' we just had some fruit and a ww carrot cake slice, must have saved loadsa points!! the scales will not lie next week !!Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0

Hi, Not posted here before. I had been doing well since I joined WW last October. I have been losing every week and so far have lost 29 pounds. Had a blip last week and gained half a pound. but lost 1.5 pounds this week. My problem is I'm running out of Ideas for cheap and healthy meals. I'm a single guy on a limted income and i'm in need of some healthy advice from you WW experts.0
