Hi everyone, and new members ! :D (will add you to first post shortly, and do weight losses/gains too) xx

Doing well here, stuck to points and have been very rigid with myself for the last 2 days. No wonder I was feeling glum and down, TOTM yesterday which could explain why the scales suddenly jumped for no apparent reason !

I wish I didn't have to 'tune in' to my 2 DDs TOTM too, it throws me out completely and I'm all over the darn place at the moment ! Grrrr

Anyway, I just wanted to natter a bit about getting stuck in a rut and 'losing control' a bit. Remember it's an awful time of year, weather is naff, nights are cold and long and your body is probably craving stodgy comfort food which is only natural. It's hard to feel motivated when we're hiding behind our thick jumpers and baggy jeans and we're not getting any exercise due to the bad weather (that' my excuse anyway lol).

However, spring is just around the corner and before we know it, it'll be t-shirt and shorts weather ! Just think how you looked last summer - were you bigger than now? If you lose some more weight, can you look forward to treating yourself to a new summer wardrobe (cheaply of course, it's a money saving website after all ;))? Have you booked your holiday yet? Do you have a summer wedding to go to? Are you trying for a baby (caroline :T). We've all got really good reasons for losing the weight, are there any reasons NOT to lose the weight?

If stodge and sweet things are a problem then you can still have nice things. My menu today (full of stodge lol):

Breakfast: WW recipe Banana Energy Bar (3 1/2)
Snack: 3 WW recipe chocolate bites (3)
Lunch: Spicy cous cous (3 1/2)
Dinner: WW recipe chicken, leek & mushroom gratin with brocolli (6)
Dessert: WW recipe chocolate sponge pudding (4)
    Milk: (1)

Total points = 21 and still got 2 left if I need them but I'm stuffed as a little piggy ! :rotfl:

I think I've rambled enough now :o :rotfl:so I'll leave you all in peace and to enjoy your evening. Stay focused guys n gals - think of the summer ! (water not beer !!! :rotfl:)

Stuck to points today, stomach this evening hasn't grumbled but only way I can describe it is pulling in for food? Massive cravings but I haven't given in as if I do I feel so bad afterwards. Its not worth it. So I am pleased I didn't give in to temptation. Just kept telling myself I didn't need it!

Hi can i get added to this please?
I still have 3 stone to lose( well thats my goal) for my wedding in November... i joined WW online on 2/1/10 and since then have lost 16Lbs. is still a long way to go but am sooo determined and every little helps to keep you on track!
i'm 6 ft 2 & a strict vegetarian (not vegan) and really struggle with the WW meals especially the deserts as the majority have gelatine in them! it's so frustrating! Anyway will be good to have the tips from everyone on here and that points calculator from Lady Luck is just FAB! thanks so much for sharing that!

    thanks v much

can anyone help with working out the points value for this...?
    new galaxy bubbles bar 31g.
nutritional info per 100g is 544cal/fat32.5g... oops!!
when i saw it in the shop it just says 169 calories on the front and i thought ooh thats not bad ill try that.
got home(after eating it) and read the back..gutted.
got calculator out and cant work it out.
i know when it dosent say sat fat your supposed to half the fat but fat content is for 100g so how can i work it out accurately?

  • You can do it using the tracker - so by putting it in the 100g info and saying you had 31g of it then its 3.5 points so not bad at all

wow 3.5 points is that really all it was.
i was trying to use my points calculator.
havent used my tracker since i got it but just managed to find it but there is no option on there for working this out as it only goes up to 400 cals.
am i doing something wrong with it?
