  • I LOVE popcorn and now when I go I use the microwave butterkist popcorn that I make at home and put into bags and take in with me. I have learnt that you do not do this straight from the microwave as the kernels that are unpopped melt a hole in the bag !
I think I normally get a large popcorn as it seems the most economical but this way the bag you take into the cinema is a reasonable sized one that you have measured in the light! Another tip is to use those rainbow drops which are popped rice, similar taste, not quite the same though!

I worked at Cineworld for near on two years, and I had many a shift on the popper, and one time the oil had run out after I had already put the kernals in, so i had to dump the entire lot and totally forgot about how hot the kernals would be and tipped them into one of the giant plastic popcorn sacks - which swiftly melted and spewed the kernals all over the floor haha FAIL ME! :rotfl:

I LOVE rainbow drops - never even came to mind to take these with me instead of popcorn. I have a few bags in the cupboard so may have to try that :D Thank you x
YWG, I avoid the popcorn in the cinema now and sneak in snack o jacks salted popcorn, at only 0.5pts per bag I usually take three 'cause I'm a piggy and you get loads. They also do a sweet version but at 2pts per small bag I rather go for the salted....

    Becks

Cinema popcorn is definately an avoid - I worked with it for so long that I got a sickener for it and couldn't stand the smell anymore. However since having not worked there for 6 months I've began craving it again - boo me!

The problem for me is that i HATE salted popcorn, so even though it's the healthy option, i'd never plump for it as it makes me feel sick. Gah I'm difficult ;)

Butterkist Cinema Sweet Style popcorn is 2 points for 25g - if you eat the whole 120g bag I work it out to be 10.5 points :D

I'll have to hunt down this Butterkist cinema sweet style stuff - I don't think I've ever seen it. Is it ready popped? Or do you have to pop it yourself? x

  • Congrats Shopaholic on your loss this week, and your overall loss :D

I've just done 10mins of my exercise dvd (doesn't sound like a lot, but i'm SO out of shape and need to build myself up in small doses) and am about to shower then take the dogs for a walk. I have 2 chihuahuas so I walk them one at a time to get the most out of my walks!

I'm dreading WI tomorrow *eep* and am just praying for a STS this week, devistation avenue if I've put on. Gaaah!

ahrrgg why did i do it? I just ate a bar of choc from tesco which i just bought = 11.5 points and a small tub of ben and jerrys brownie ice cream, how many points is that?

Now unless I run a marathon how can i recover from this and not gain this week or stay the same?

I just crave choc so much, nothing is a substitute to the real thing.

    i know what you mean!!
the only thing you can do now is work out how many points you have just eaten then divide that by the number of days you have between now and wi.
if that seems impossible then do the remaining points in exercise each day.

  • Only 11.5 pts spent so far today.

    B - Toast & tea 2.5pts
L - Small jacket potato with beans. No butter!! 4pts
D - Goats cheese salad with leftover mini chicken fillets, olives, cherry tomatoes & sainsburys sweet balsamic & smoked garlic dressing 5pts

Feeling really full!!! I was going to go to the gym but it's been a tres stressful work day so the soaps & bed are very appealing!! Might try and get to a body combat class on Saturday to make up for it.

I think I'll have a 0pt jelly later then save the rest of the points for wine & bread on the weekend :D

I feel your pain!! My BF has left two big boxes of chocolates in my room (from Christmas) and I'm constantly fighting temptation!
