    Welcome HJB123

Well Done Poppie and Cheeky :T

Smn08 STS the same is better than putting on, I know its hard but look how far you have come. 1lb will be yours next week ;)

Had a lucky escape yesterday the lunch in the pub was cancelled so i went to M&S and got a count on us 4pt ham sandwich and a packet of chilli count on us crisps total 5.5 pts - I love the fact that the supermarkets have the pts on the packaging. Also I really enjoyed my sandwich and I think it was because I knew exactly how many points i was eat I was in control.

So total pts for yesterday were 17 saving 2, so 11 pts for the weekend so far.

Today I was up with the lark again, cycled to the gym for 6.30am again but today I swam, was in the jacuzzi at 7.30am ish and in the sauna for 7.45am. Earned 2.5 activity points.

    Menu today is

    Milk 2
    Bran 1.5
    Quavers 1.5
    Crisp 2
    Tuna Salad 1
    Apple0.5
    Carrotts 0
    Jelly 0

Not sure what I'm having for tea will get back to you.

Hope everyone has a good day

    Duckie :)
    To be figured out!

Anyone got any tips for sweet popcorn?

Butterkist Cinema Sweet Style popcorn is 2 points for 25g - if you eat the whole 120g bag I work it out to be 10.5 points :D

I have a giant bunch of really delicious grapes on my desk - must be good till Sunday cos I'm going to a carvery which includes pudding and we all know I can't resist pudding...

Well done on the losses, the sts, and welcome to newbies!!
Really should be doing some work...

STS is an achievement! I've sts for about 4 weeks now and it got me down but I've actually learnt a lot from it - I now know that when I am at goal or just fancy a break from counting that I can do it without putting the weight back on! I think I've learned to listen to my stomach and also know what a portion size should be. So well done :T

  • Anyone got any tips for sweet popcorn? I have an unlimited card and go to the cinema a lot, and always crave popcorn when I'm there, but after working in Cineworld I know how much sugar and oil goes into their popcorn, so want to avoid A) excess points, B) crazy cinema prices!

YWG, I avoid the popcorn in the cinema now and sneak in snack o jacks salted popcorn, at only 0.5pts per bag I usually take three 'cause I'm a piggy and you get loads. They also do a sweet version but at 2pts per small bag I rather go for the salted....

I LOVE popcorn and now when I go I use the microwave butterkist popcorn that I make at home and put into bags and take in with me. I have learnt that you do not do this straight from the microwave as the kernels that are unpopped melt a hole in the bag !
I think I normally get a large popcorn as it seems the most economical but this way the bag you take into the cinema is a reasonable sized one that you have measured in the light! Another tip is to use those rainbow drops which are popped rice, similar taste, not quite the same though!

My 3rd weigh in last night and another loss yippee, lost 2½lb that's 5lb altogether. I've started using my son's Wii Fit doing the hula hooping and yoga and i think thats helped a little this week.

Congrats to all the losses and sts
