I bought the recommended pink walking trainers and was blister-free through 26 miles (proper two-layer walking socks and vaseline were just as important I think!) - whatever you choose buy early so you can do your practice walks in them and be confident in your choice. Also dig out that 1980's bumbag for your supplies of vaseline, jelly beans, glucose tablets, money, tissues, wet wipes, suncream (for your shoulders in the morning!) and your map!
Am feeling quite jealous now! (sorry for going completely off-topic...!)

  • Forgot to add before that i would like to join too pretty please!

I am currently 11 stone and my target is 9 stone 8lbs but havenyt really got a time limit, although have a friends wedding coming up in july so will have to wear a dress......would be nice to feel comfortable in it.

Its my first proper day and am shocked by the amount of food you get for your weights............if i lose this week it will be coz my body has gone into shock from the reduced portion sizes:rotfl: saying that am under my allowance today. how long can you carry your points over for?? a week, 2, 3?????
    December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

    Weight loss: 1.5lbs
  • You have to have consumed your points within the week otherwise you lose them. You should really use them all up but you can save max of 4 over for a treat on another day

oooh lots of posts since i was last here! only read back the last 2 pages so sorry if i say something that's already been covered. just tell me off!

superfran your king prawn stir fry idea is brill! i do similar thing with chicken, just adding loads of veg and soy or hoisin sauce. but prawns for 0.5 points is even better. awesome!

well my WI this morning showed i have lost 1 lb. happy with this as i have had an atrocious week! not tracked properly, and i have had a couple of days of eating everything in sight. so, i guess i would have had the big loss i've been waiting for if i had behaved :o

so i have lost 4lbs now, in 3 weeks. slowwwww but i'm not complaining. i'll get there eventually! (i will probably get grumpy if it carries on being this slow for the whole 2.5 stone though ^_^ )

well done everyone who has lost or sts! yay us!

I had a vension burger for dinner last night! Was lovely and better than a normal burger!

I think this week is going to be a struggle, I find it hard to get below the weight i am at right now! Going to have to be very strict on points!

WI in this morning and lost 1lb which I was hoping for. Now hit my 10% goal which is fab! It feels quite slow going for me at the moment (compared to when I started and was losing quickly) but am really pleased to have hit that milestone!

I have 10 lbs to go til I hit my goal of 11st7, if it takes 10 weeks then nevermind, I will get there in the end. Once I have got there I will think about how much further I want to go. 11st7 is the very top of the healthy BMI for me at 5ft7 and its the weight I was in my late teens and early twenties... but if I think I can do better and if I'm still feeling a bit wobbly I will carry on!

Well done to all the losers and keep going folks

Ohh dear ...... I've completely lost the plot :o. I'm eating everything in site  ! Coupled with our meal out tomorrow I keep thinking 'oh well, I'll not lose weight this week so might as well make the most of it' :(

I think I'll have to draw a line under this weekend, suffer the consequences and slap myself silly on Monday morning .

Hope you're all having a good weekend !
