Hi there, you need to work out the points of all your ingredients, then divide it by how many you made. i.e if all your cake mixture was 20 points and you made 10 fairy cakes itd be 2 points each.

aha!!! i knew it would be simple!!! thank you very much!!!!

But what about cooking? I tend to throw in a bit of this and a bit of that to most dishes and never weigh things...

You have to weigh and point everything for it to work otherwise the little bits here and there add up and thats how we all got here in the first place :-(

Youd be surprised how it all adds up throughout the day

Oh gosh, sounds like hard work! But I will try lol! I guess that's why so many WWers resort to ready meals which have the points on the packet. :rotfl:

    (I hate ready meals)

    Hiya

My name is Abi. I am currently 11 stone 10 and want to reach my goal of 10 stone 4 by the summer. I have joined WW online and am enjoying tracking my points, although I only started it on Wednesday!

Hello to all the newbies (and to the oldies too! still here, still going for it! :j)

I have to admit I am not as good as Cheeky at weighing everything when I cook, but I have got used to what a portion of chips/ rice/ pasta is supposed to like and work with rough measures. During the week my other half cooks - lucky me! - but I have no control over the cooking portions, just what goes on my plate. I got a bit of a shock when I first weighed out a 2 point portion of chips! But I do try and stay a point under each day to compensate for lazy measurements and I'm pretty sure Cheeky's weight loss is going quicker than mine so I guess it depends how much time you have!

Weigh in tomorrow and a sneeky peek on the scales this morning showed me heading for a loss. However, gave into temptation this evening and had takeaway curry so not sure if I'll get a loss or a STS. If I do lose a pound I will hit my 10% weight loss target, so fingers crossed!

Going to the shops tomorrow and looking forward to trying on size 14s and 16s... size 18 is now a thing of the past!
Have a great weekend all! :j

Your right fran-o it does depend how long you want to take. I am lucky that I do most of the cooking and badger my other half if he has done it that he weighs it etc. But then on the other hand because Im so used to weighing I HATE eating out now as I like to be in control lol.

I think aswell I have set myself tight deadlines lol so have to be strict with myself, doing the moonwalk in May, wont like going walking in just a bra and leggings if I havent shifted the weight lol!!

Thats fab Cheeky - I did the moonwalk two years ago and loved it! Its tough for the last few miles but it wouldn't be a challenge otherwise and the sense of achievement is amazing. I applied to walk it again this year but missed the deadline... and I was thinking about how it would be great to do it again but two stone lighter! Well done and good luck with your walking!
