Hello all, I am hoping to join in if that's ok! I joined WW on the 3-month trial and am really struggling. My target is 8st3lbs and I am only allowed 17pts a day. I am hoping to collect no-point and low-point food ideas and work out how to avoid chocolate and junk...Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Grr only lost 1lb this week so compared to the 4lbs last week it's rubbish!!
BUT it's made me focus more. I just spent a fair bit in the supermarket on WW meals and lots of fruit & veg so back on track for the coming week!!
On the contrary - you should celebrate for losing weight. Well done :T
All in the right direction!

Should i try to refrain from eating too late at night? I get a rumbly tummy around this time of night, but is it too late to really eat anything?
Hi bramble - rumbly tummy - join the club :rotfl:
My understanding is that it is a myth that eating late causes weight gain. The science is very simple - eat less than you burn=weight loss, eat more than you burn=weight gain, and it doesn't matter when these things happen. If you always get the munchies at a certain time, then plan for them in your allowance, otherwise there's a danger you'll feel deprived.

Hello Tara
My points allowance is also 17pts - I found it almost impossible to keep to, so can't give you an answer, other than to earn extra points through exercise. However, since then, I have changed over to Simply Filling. There are loads of foods that do not need pointing with this method, and I have 21 pts for the week for the extras. So, for instance, my snacks today are all free points on Simply Filling: 1 x apple, 1 x banana, 1 x satsuma, 3 x ryvita with extra light soft cheese with garlic and herbs, the milk on my cereal and in my tea is free points, and I'm eating a Simply Filling recipe tonight, so it's only my bread in my s/wich and my cereal that needs pointing today. I'm doing WW online, so the points are all worked out for me - I don't think I'd be able to work it out without. There are huge swathes of no point and low point recipes online, too, so I really do recommend it. Avoiding chocolate and junk is a battle when bad habits have been established. It rather depends on your personality how you could approach this. Some people do zero tolerance, where you cut everything out all at once. That doesn't work for me - I concentrate on cutting out one thing at a time. However, I allow myself treats within the points allowance if I'm keeping to plan - so I could in a day like today, for instance. Look at some of the WW products - the WW chocolate bars are really yummy and only 1.5 pts, I think. Also have a look at the WW recipes for cakes, cookies and snacks for lower points - some really lovely stuff.

Hi Rumbly! Thanks for that, i did think it wouldn't make much difference, I know the without fail before i go to bed i will feel hungry, regardless of what time it is! So i'm trying to keep a point or two back for these times.
I get exercise points every day at the moment from walking to the station, i don't eat back these points, does that matter? I know you can save points for treats, but would my exercise points be better put to use towards my weight loss?Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500
