Bleughhhhhhhhh I've got a cold :( Feeling naff but I have loads to do (my day off today) and catching up with you lot is one of the things on my list - you can't half natter :rotfl:.

I have been skim reading though. Re: STS - lots of you this week but at least you haven't put weight on ! Just think of it as a practice for when you reach your target, you will have to learn to STS then so it does serve a purpose in a strange kind of way :D.

I'll update front page later on too but Ebay parcel wrapping is calling and then a mealplan so I must get those underway before I sit here with a cuppa and catch up.

Have a good day everyone

  • I wouldn't worry too much about a STS one week; there are other non scale victories that you will notice and sometime it takes a little longer for things to show; not to be crude but it does make a difference if you have been to the loo before hand and also what clothes you have on, what time of day it is...

I am having friends around tomorrow for lunch. Am making some soup which should be free for me and getting some nice bread. Can you think of anything I can serve other people to make it more filling for them? I think I will be making butternut squash soup so maybe some creme fraiche to dollop on? Can you think of anything crouton-like that isn't massively calorie laden? I was thinking bacon but that's hardly healthy!

A friend suggested meringues as a light and not too unhealthy pudding so might get some berries and some cream and make meringues :)

I lost nearly 1.5lb this week but I'll call it 1lb. 4.5lb loss in total. Didn't stick to it at all this week so really pleased. Got lots of mini targets to hit to keep me motivated, got past the 10's this week properly so moved from like 170 down to 169. Next target is 7lb off which is 2.5lb to go :)

me too, i've lost 7.5lbs altogether now. I must say i was a little dissapointed when i weighed myself but i know 1.5lbs is still good. Any is a step in right direction. It will spur me on to work harder at it next week. I've also dropped a point so now on 23pts, yay.
I'm off to do some housework now, i'll try to be as vigorous as possible to break a sweat, i think i'll put some music on and danced with my hoover! lol hope the neighbours aren't watching!
    Have a good day everyone

well done ebveryone who has lost or sts , I have weigh in again tonight , I'm not looking forward to it wa having a really good week until I found a miniture box of celebrations left over from christmas and my chcolate craving got the better of me -a whole 10 points wasted but I had pasta for dinner and ended up only 3 points over. and i had done 6 points worth of activity the day before .

today anotehr challenge faces me I am going out for coffee with a friend and we always alwayd always have cake - i don't know how i am going to resist or even if i really want to so I figure give in to a big slice of cofffee and walnut cake and have a 4.5 point ready meal this evening :(

hey everyone. all this talk of meringues and cakes is making me rather hungry!!

stupid AF has appeared (sorry, tmi. i know. ew.) so i will blame that for my being 12st 4 when i was only 12st 3.2 yesterday! so at my official at-home weigh in, i have lost 1lb this week. still happy with that but hoping for a bigger loss next week so i can get to my super-unrealistic goal before my birthday! :o

If you know which place you are going to for coffee you could look up the points and find out the best one to have points-wise, something like a cake slice would probably be better than having a big wedge of cake. I have to say I would probably agree to share with a friend and have a skinny coffee of some sort or just go for it and enjoy it! No point making yourself miserable, I figure I would rather not make losing the weight be a battle which leaves me with no life, slow and steady wins the race eh?

    Enjoy, whatever you do!

  • Just thought I'd report in with my WI for this week - I lost 1lb. :)

Better than I thought as I assumed I'd was going to sts but the 1lb loss will do me, especially after losing 3lb last week. I need to definately get into exercise and get my 'Claire's 5 Step Fat Attack' dvd back out to do :D

Mexican Friday today in our house. Nomnomnom. Pointed my 4 tacos with mince, onions, peppers, jalapenos, salsa and sour cream at 16pts *death* BUT it's my treat day so blow it! ^_^

(To make matters worse..my g/f just came home from uni with a cinnamon swirl and a tub full of pic'n'mix strawberries for me as a 'treat' as I was feeling down this morning..aww..but ohhh poinnnnnts lol)
