I went over my 18pts for the first time yesterday as I went to a big work party. Thankfully I had 6.5 points saved up so still within my points in theory!
This weekend is going to be the real test. Other people will be cooking for me so will have to politely reduce the portions I usually get.
Look at the Beefeater menu and it's all BIG points so going for rump steak (5pts) with salad (0) and grilled tomato & mushroom (1pt). Quite fancied the quesidilla but that comes in at 15pts!!
Got to head off to a hospital appointment now and have totally forgotten about lunch so will stop by Tesco for a WW sandwich.* Save £s - Lose lbs *

Well Done Katy - 2lbs is very good. Slow steady loss is the best kind of loss, more likely to stay off in the long run!
I know I posted this on the old thread but its a link to what a pound looks like - you wont say only a pound from now on!! LOL.

Im making a version of cottage pie tonight - hopefully nicer than my lasagne the other day, should be though as got more points to spare. Had 7 so far today and need to save 1 at least. Am hoping to do the shephereds pie for 7 though and then I can save 4.
And hopefully back to the gym tomorrow, I want to go tonight but the roads are still bit iffy.0 -

Hi everyone,
I have been doing this diet for just over a week now and my husband is doing it with me too, so am very happy i have someone to do it with. I don't think i would have stuck to it quite so much. I think the first couple of days was hard for me because i am not used to portion control and over the years they have been creeping up. This week i have found it easier and not feeling so hungry. I am just getting used to spreading the points over the day because the other day i had so many points left at end of day. I have a sweet tooth so do miss my chocolate.
I've been reading this thread for the past week and not been quite ready to post yet but just had my first weigh in and have lost 6lbs! Yay. I hope this is correct because i weighed myself on wii to start but have now bought myself some scales, so not sure if there is any difference but will continue to weigh on scales now. I am shocked but this has spurred me on to carry on and made me feel it's all been worth it. I have now lost a point on my points allowance but don't think this will bother me as have 10 points for week saved up. We was going to use this for a chinese takeaway but don't really feel like one so have just written them off.
Do you think i should be leaving them each week or using the points, because am worried when i drop points i will feel it later on?
Hope i didnt chat on for too long.

Well done!
1) I find the wii to be quite ineffective at weighing me- it can (and has done!) gone 7lbs either way before now so just stick to your scales once a week!
2) if you have saved points throughout the week you need to eat them before your weigh in. If you dont, you effectively lose them. This in turn leads to you undereating which will slow down, if not stop your weight loss.
If you find you have lots of points saved by the end of the week, you need to find a way of incorporating more into your meals or snacks

Dropping a dress size will be completely different from one person to the next and equally as different from one shop to the next! I have gone down a size but i don't really see it like that as i was always a 14 before last year (when i stopped shopping! But was a 16. Boo), now i'm back to where i was and the difference between the two sizes for me was about a stone. If i can get to a size 12 that would be new territory and absolutely fab but I have been a stone lighter than I am now and i was STILL a 14!0

oh my good god cheeky, those pictures are foul..._pale_
but yay i've lost two of those gross little blobs of fat!
i've just had my asda order... absolute disaster. not the poor delivery boy's fault (bless him!) but it was an hour late, half of it missing. he warned me it probably wouldn't be right as there had been a "big mix up" but said i might get duplicates of things which i could then keep... no duplicates and the only thing i got that i didn't pay for was 2kg (yes, KILOGRAMS) of full fat cheese. doh! :rotfl:
i'll be going back to tesco next time!0 -
I have no idea what size I am at the moment lol!! I have size 10 tesco jeans on at the moment, but my river island size 10 I still cant get into, although can get them on, just not do them up lol! I reckon half a stone and they will fit though.
I do know when Im 8 and a half stone I can get into a size 6 and pretty much every shop. So lets say Im a 12 roughly then that would mean I have 3 dress sizes to drop and two stone to do it in, which is about 9 pounds a dress size. Which is probably about right for me as I was probably a 16/18 depending on shop when I started again (lol) and have lost just under two stone.
It would also depend on how tight the current size was, if you were only just in a 12 you would need to lose more to get to a 10 than if you were comfortable in a 12 if that makes sense??
Off to make my shepherds pie, have worked it out at 6.5 points with no cut backs apart from only have a quarter of the big dish instead of the HUGE portion I had before all this off half.
Portion size really does seem to be the key!!0 -
Hello fellow weight watcher members!
Today I have eaten/drank the following:
(around 07:45)
Nesquick choco balls cereal 30g = 2p
1% fat sainsbury milk = 4.5p (tried to get my fave skimmed but sold out everywhere, annoyed as its 1.5 points more than skimmed!)
2 litres of water with sugar free robinsons fruit juice. Drank from 9:45 to 3pm.
Calypso juice shots drinks x2 (1 of five a day) = 1p
Walkers squares crisps 1.5p eaten around 9.30 to 9:45. (anyone know lower point crisps with good flavour? Can't seem to find lower point crisps?)
Muller light vanilla with choc bits (yum!!) 1.5p eaten around 10:00
Weight Watchers potato and leak soup (yum!!) = 1p Eaten around 12:30
Apple= 0.5p eaten around 1pm
35g Cherios = 1.5p Eaten around 2:15pm I was a bit bored/little hungry (normally eat apple by now, but had eaten it earlier today)
Home at 3:45 (hungry now!!)
One toffee scoffed (eeek, was screaming at me in the non ww friendly family packed full of treats fridge) then calculated points for three of then and nearly fainted! Phew just had one so = 0.5p
4pm ww chicken hot pot (very tasty, small though) = 4.5p
Glass of cheery ade sugar free -0p
Then mum brought up another toffee for me eeek!! 0.5p
SO no have 1p left which I will probably have two mini milks.
Now why is tummy grumbling and very hungry? And this isnt boredom hunger, I can feel my tummy pulling for food?
Anything I can do better? Apart from eat more veg.0 -
French Fries are good for crisps as are only 1 point.
Also if I have run out of skimmed milk, I use semi skimmed mixed with water!!0
