whoops!! forgot to WI saturday - probably a good thing with it being the bank holiday weekend especially as I have eaten out a lot and drank lots of cocktails (in my defence I went to see sex and the city with the girls so it had to be done!!!!)0

Half Price! (the one I got was £1.20-something) :beer:fran-o0 -
Further to my quiche recipe, I made it this afternoon and just had it for tea, and am really impressed. Firstly because it wasn't many points, secondly because I was intending to have half of it rather than a quarter and couldn't manage any more than a quarter, and thirdly because something I made tasted that good
I used Morrisons' Eat Smart mature cheese rather than ordinary cheshire and put in 60g (still 1/2 point less than 40g cheshire acc. to my online calculator), and I also used some mushrooms I had left. It was a bit of a nightmare to get out of the tin but I'd used a cake tin with one of those slidy things that loosens the base, so managed to get it in one piece.
I had it with a small tin of garden peas and 1.5 portions of WW chips, so a total of 7.5 points (maybe a bit less) for a lovely tea. :T
Looking forward to lunch tomorrow now
Absfabs - your vegetarian chilli looks easy enough, I may have to try that next week.:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -
Has anyone tried the blueberry drop scones in the Your Week mag this week? They look lovely and (always important for me) easy to make, perhaps with something other than blueberries though.:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0

Thanks for this Fran
I only ever buy ready meals if they're £1 or less really, because I try not to depend on them too much.
Mr.T's Light Choices have a bunch of ready meals in the freezers for £1 each - some are the same as WW ones..lasagna, curry and rice, pasta etc. There are a few Light Choices ready meals in the chillers that are usually on offer for £1, and can be frozen, so when WW ones aren't on offer, I stock up on these too
Weight Watchers haven't had any ready meals on £1 for a while - boo them!lol

Do you have a Heron Foods, or Farmfoods shop near you YWG? I've been picking WW frozen meals up from there for the last couple of weeks for 99p/£1.:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0

Yay! After sticking to my diet alll week I have lost 4lb! I am sooo pleased!
Well done to everyone else too. Had a massive day in the garden yesterday so hoping that will have burned off a few calories, and TOTM has just finished so I am looking forward to a productive week this week in the weight loss stakes!
I am looking forward to trying some of the recipies that have been posted, am mainly trying to stick to ready meals cus they dont involve too much planning. They get a bit boring though so I need to put a bit more effort into making the diet interesting.lovin' this site!

Well done Murie! :T
Not so keen on the ww ready-meals, but one I like is the lemony chicken risotto, if you come accross it.
I do stock up on their soups, though, helps to tie me over when I'm desperate while preparing something from scratch or if no time for lunch.
Not such a good day today, bananas and choc brownies at work, didn't sin much but 2 pts over....
Got to do pilates tonight for damage control0
