Hi all, I can't believe I'm on WW and tucking into pizza, chips & garlic bread! Doesn't feel like I'm going to lose weight this Thursday but it's all within my points! Even got some left for a choccie dessert later if I'm not stuffed!
Tbh I'm glad of the comfort food as OH is away on his stag do in Edinburgh (where he works) and I'm missing him terribly!0 -
I lost 1.5 lbs this week, so I'm exactly 11 stone, yay!! 7lbs to go!
Here's a recipe I am going to be making tomorrow afternoon. Will let you know how it turns out.
Classic Quiche
POINTS® Value: 3.5
Servings: 4
Preparation Time: 20 min
Cooking Time: 30 min
Level of Difficulty: Moderate
Ingredients
8 sheet filo pastry, (thawed if frozen) 5 spray low-fat cooking spray
1 portion spring onions, trimmed and finely chopped
2 medium egg(s)
150 ml skimmed milk
75 g Sainsbury's Economy Cooked Ham, diced
40 g Cheshire cheese, or Lancashire, grated
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped fresh
1 pinch salt, and freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
2 medium tomato(s), thinly sliced
Instructions- Preheat oven to Gas Mark 4/180°C/350°F.
- Unroll filo pastry sheets, covering with clingfilm or a clean, damp tea towel to prevent them from drying out as you work. Mist each one with spray cooking oil and layer them in a 20 cm (8 inch) round flan tin. Place tin on a baking sheet.
- Mist a non-stick frying pan with spray cooking oil. Saut! spring onions until softened, about 3 - 4 minutes.
- Beat together eggs and milk. Stir in ham, cheese, parsley, spring onions and seasoning. Layer tomatoes over pastry base, then pour in egg mixture. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes until set. Cool slightly, then cut into quarters and serve.

haha!
Try getting in some lean minced beef - we only ever buy the Tesco 'Healthy Living' stuff. It comes in at 3 points per 1/4 pack and is so versatile!
We use it to make spaghetti bolognaise, lasgna, cottage pie and beef chilli. I'm sure there's loads more you can do with it (that I can't think of right now!) and it's full of flavour!
Today I've had so far:
Breakfast:
30g bran flakes w/ 125ml semi-skimmed milk: 2.5pt
Small carton of orange juice: 1pt
Dinner:
Boots meal deal consisting of..
Shapers Red thai chicken wrap: 3.5pt
Shapers Onion rings crisps: 1pt
Shapers raspberry & mango still water: 0pt
And tonight I'll be tucking into:
Tea:
Minced beef chilli: 5.5pt
Brown rice: 3pt

1st June is my New Years Resolution deadline of 11st 2lb (which I'm already currently smashing!) - and I've been promised that if I am at my 6 month goal weight (11st 2lb), or below, I will be treated to lunch at my favourite restaurant Chiquito
Fingers crossed I'll stay below that 11st 2lb marker! For me really, secretly, my goal is to stay at 11st exactly (my last weigh in weight) for when I weigh in on Tuesday - as this would really be a super sweet end to 6 months of hard work!!
thanks for this, i do like spaghetti bolognese and chilli so will stock up on mince
sounds like you are doing really well, Chiquito's will be a fab treat
i'm only just getting into this, i'm scared to eat anything without consulting my points booklet first :rotfl:i might lose something (i hope!) because i've spent so long assessing my food rather than just eating it!
i'm learning a lot about portions. normally i'd just chuck a load of pasta in, then a bit more for good measure, and we'd eat it because it was available. so hopefully i'm breaking this bad habit!

thanks joey for the quiche recipe, i'll give that a go! x0

Well done Clare
Thanks to all who posted their meal ideas and the quiche recipe, sounds good, might try this!
Had my at home weigh in today, and lost 3kg !!!!
I know most of this is water, as I've only just started again, but am really pleased, so much better than expected.
Have been obsessed about food the last few days, all this meal planning makes me feel constantly hungry. And surprisingly got away with a few careful treats, too:
Slice of bread and 2tsp peanut butter = 3pts (and feels sooo good!), both yesterday and again this morning, as an extra in between!
All the planning for yesterday didn't quite work out as we went out, chose a healthy sounding veggie meal : sweet potato cakes and poached eggs x2 with 0pt salad, I guestimated this to be 6pts, and for tea (yes, we had tea+cakes as well) 1/2 flapjack and 1/2 sultana scone with low fat spread, guestimate 7pts, and then baked potato with baked beans when we got home.0 -
yay... -4lbs this week :j
well done to all who've lost or hit targets this week

well done to all the lovely losers!
Just been to Morrisons and they had Weight Watchers Chilled Ready Meals on offer. Am not usually one to buy ready meals, but picked up a Mediterranean Vegetable Pasta (4pts) to try. Other ones they had were Macaroni Cheese, Bangers and Mash, Sweet & Sour... does anyone have any recommendations? Might be handy to stash a few in the freezer.fran-o0 -

Thanks for this fran - could you tell me how much they were/what the offer was?
I'm not one to live off ready meals, as I know they're not 'that' good for you, but I do like to keep a stock of different ones in the freezer for when I need a quick lunch or when we've run out of 'real' food :rotfl:
I refuse to buy them at full price though, and will only ever buy them when they're on offer. I've come to the end of my freezer stock now though, so could do with picking up a few more!:heartsmil Proud Weight Watcher :heartsmilStart Weight: 15st 13lb Current Weight: 10st 5lbTotal Loss to Date: 5st 8lb- - -Current 2011 Goal: Lose 8lb by 25th DecemberLoss This Week: -3 Total Loss 2011: -30
