The curse of a bank holiday weekend! I've been distracted by the snooker this afternoon so have managed to stem my food cravings... I'm trying to be really good on my first week to see what weight loss I can achieve :o

At least you only had a few spoonfuls and not the whole tin!!

Spinning classes are excellent, and the thing I like about classes compared to the gym is that you're less likely to give up because everyone else keeps you going. I usually manage about five mins on the treadmill before I convince myself that I have earned at least five activity points and head off to the steam room!!

hey guys, can I join you?!

I've just started ww on Wednesday and so far so good :D I want to lose about 2 stone really so I'm in it for the long haul. I've done loads of crash diets in the past and I initially lose but they're not sustainable and I eventually fall gloriously off the wagon. Hopefully this time will be different.. I've actually struggled to eat my 20 points some days!

I did have a hiccup yesterday and ate a muffin from costco just to discover afterwards that it contained 16 points!! I had a dinner consisting of mainly free point foods so still managed to stay to my 20pt limit but omg, will NOT be makin that mistake again!

    Hey everyone :)

Looks like there's been a few new recruits since I last posted in here - so hello and welcome to everyone :D This is definitely the thread to head to if you're feeling like you want to give up, or you simply need some support. Everyone here is friendly and helpful so don't be shy about asking questions and getting to know people :)

I'm having a totallyawful day today. Been feeling run down for the past few days, and today I woke up with a cold. I feel so dreadfully rough! I've spent all day in bed dosed up on lemsip cold & flu meds feeling like I've been knocked for six inbetween blowing my nose and dabbing my watery eyes. Eugh!

Food-wise, I've done well though! When I'm poorly, I always want to cheat and eat junk food to make myself feel a little cheerier! However, I ate my regular ready brek made up with water and sweetener with a mini carton of raisins ontop for breakfast totalling 2 points. Then for dinner from my sickbed I had a carton of orange juice, a bowl of WW tinned chicken, leek & potato soup and a crusty bread roll - totalling my dinner at 6 points.

For tea I'm having a portion of WW chips for 2 points, a tomato & mozzarella chicken kiev (picked up on reduced yesterday from Tesco) for 4.5 points and half a tin WW beans for 2 points. Tea in total = 8.5 points.

All in that'll be 16.5 points of my 19points allowance, which isn't bad going for me, considering I feel like death and completely want to blow my points on a KFC or McDonalds! :)

I'm just hoping this cold goes away tomorrow, but I have an awful feeling it won't. UGH! :(

Aw feel better soon! My daughter has spread her cough and cold to mummy :( But its not so bad, just a runny nose and sore throat really but all the wiping of my nose means its now very sore and red :(

Well done for keeping on schedule too, I know how hard it is when you have a craving.
I find it easier if I plan my days food the night before. If I leave it last minute I risk not knowing what to have and eating too much of the wrong stuff.

I combat the sore, red nose by using Kleenex Balsam tissues when I have a cold. They may be a little pricey in comparison to regular tissues, but by golly do they make a difference! Having a flakey, dry, sore nose from constant blowing can sometimes be worse than the cold itself! Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to some balsam tissues x

I usually work all my meals/points out a week in advance - following WW has made me a little OCD about writing lists and keeping a track on things - but being ill has threw me off course with my pre-planning for this week, but if I'm feeling a little perkier later after a dose of lemsip meds, I may have a rummage in the cupboard and plan this weeks meals to ease the OCD cogs whirring in my head! :o

Hello! Today is my first day on here too, although have fallen off the wagon already with a fishcake supper

Although I think its a proven FACT that you can only start a diet on a monday lol. I too have been horrified by the number of points in certain things, WW certainly makes you think a lot more about the food choices that you make (when you are following it correctly and not shovelling fishcake suppers down your throat!!).

Ooops, hopefully today will be more successful for you. I find that eating a large breakfast helps you keep on track too. I try and have a 6 point breakfast. I usually have a bowl of cereal for 4 points, 2 slices of w.w. toast for 1 point (another pt for marg and milk in my cup of tea!) and sometimes I have a carton of orange juice too for 2 points! it's a lot but keeps me full from 6am until 1pm at lunch time.

On a side note, my cold has got worse :'( I have earache too. Work is going to be a joyous occasion :( I will def invest in some Kleenex Balsam, thanks!
