mellywoo, thanks for your tips about cashback. I would never have though that they have a deal with WW.
For myself, I would join WW online too, because I am disciplined and know a thing or two about diets :-) but my hubby is first time dieter and he is not highly motivated, plus I could not calculate exactly how many points is his allowance. There is very contradictory information available in Internet fro free and it gives me from 22 to 30 for him, which is a big difference.

'Woop Woop' 1st WI yesterday (at home ) and lost 2.5 1b:j.
Was expecting more as lots seem to have big weight loss 1st week , but still very happy.
However I have the lurgy , feeling yuk, husband has been rough over weekend with the sore throat coldy thing going around, now I went down with it yesterday, and kids both groggy this morning but gone off to school,so I can sympathise with those of you with it. Sore throat , really achy, heady , earache and stuffy sinuses and I have the drippy tap nose.Of course you think you don't want to eat , but you do , you think you will feel better if you eat more so you fancy all sorts of things. Stressing about the decorating I have been doing all weekend and just do not feel like finishing at mo, probably a bit run down too as been burning the midnight oil with the decorating for over a weeks now.
    Wishing all of you better.

    Hi Mellywoo,

A loss is a loss and 2.5lb is pretty good! How much have you got to lose in total?

    Hi Everyone,

I’m aloud 25 points a day, was just wondering how other people are getting on that are on quiet high points. Do you tend to save the main bulk of your points for your meals or just eat all the time like me?

Back from my weekly weigh-in and I've lost 4.5lbs in my first week :j
I know that it's my first week so have probably lost more than a normal week but I'm still pretty chuffed :o

Hi Sarah , I have got at least 2 1/2 stone to lose, that will take me to 10 1/2 ish stone though ideally like to get to 10 stone. I am on 23 points but realise that as this is my 2nd week it will probably go down next week. At the moment I am using my points on my meals as finding unusually I am not picking between meals and very focused, this will change though I am sure and I will have to lessen my bulk on main meals to allow a few snacks or to allow for evening cravings!!

Hi can I join please. Just joined weight watchers today after a hellish day trying to buy an outfit for my sons wedding. I just looked like a bouncing castle in all the pretty pale colours and I am not going to his wedding in August wearing dark winter colours. starting weight 15st 10ib aiming for 12st 7lb.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.

Good luck and well done Vodkawitch - there's nothing like changing room mirrors to make me grab for the WW books! :p

I mentioned a few pages back that I was going to buy some new electronic scales and after some very helpful recommendations on here have gone for some snazzy little Salter ones, currently on sale in Argos for £16.65 instead of £24.99. They seem accurate enough but do weigh me a few pounds heavier than my non-electronic ones did so now I'm pretty much starting again with where I'm up to with any weight loss :( As of this morning, I'm at 15st 9lb, a couple of pounds heavier than I thought I was to start with and with 1st 1lb to lose to get down to my first 5% target.

Ah well, it's annoying for now, but has to be better in the long run - at least I will be able to properly monitor how I'm doing now instead of squinting at the needle on the scale and trying to guess what it says!

Hoping for a good week this week as I kind of blew it at the weekend - a friend cooked me some yummy creamy pasta on Friday night, followed by profiteroles and washed down with far too much wine whilst we were gossiping. Would have been ok as I'd been saving points up for it all week, but then I caved in and had a Dominos to feed the hangover on Saturday  Not good - this week will be better!!
