fab recipe for onion bhajis!!!
pre-heat oven to 220 (sorry I dont know gas mark!)
finely slice and fry an onion til soft and brown
mix together 50g of plain flour (or gram flour for more authentic taste - same points!) with 1/2 tsp of chilli powder, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp coriander and 1/2 tsp of turmeric
add 4 tbsps of water and make a thick paste (add more water if necessary)
mix in onions and divide into 4 and bake for 20 minutes. turn then bake for a further 5.
I got this from another forum and it stated that each bhaji is half a point each!!
I have just made them and they taste fab!! though next time I might add a chopped up chilli as I love spicy food!!!0 -

I recently completed my entire tracker book that my Mum got me from her Weight Watchers meeting - but unfortunately, she does not attend the meetings anymore and simply follows the plan from home - like me. Which meant I was completely without a tracker..which put me into total panic mode! (I'm a bit OCD about writing things down!)
SO! for my own benefit, I made myself a tracker sheet in Microsoft Excel almost identical to the tracker pages in the WW official tracker book
I'm quite pleased with myself for making it as it now means I can print out as many as I need, whenever I need them, and I can also tailor the information on the tracker to my own specification:heartsmil Proud Weight Watcher :heartsmilStart Weight: 15st 13lb Current Weight: 10st 5lbTotal Loss to Date: 5st 8lb- - -Current 2011 Goal: Lose 8lb by 25th DecemberLoss This Week: -3 Total Loss 2011: -30 -
Ooooo we are getting indian from the supermarket later so I might try make those bhajis to go with them.0

they are lush!! obviously not as nice as the deep fried 15million point ones from the indian takeaway but still really, really nice (and they dont leave your fingers all greasy!
)
I ate all 4!! and saturdays are usually my 'day off' but thought I would make them and see how they are so when I am back on ww tomorrow I wont save points for them and for them to turn out horrible!!
oh, and you can freeze them - though don know how they would turn out when re-heated...0 -
Hello All,
Just a little update for my first week on WW. It was my WI and I lost 2.5lbs. :T so Ive officially started the diet and had a weight loss! I CAN do this.
My 5% goal is 11lb so I need to lose 8.5 lb to reach my first mini target.
My plans this week are to track everything and get a bit of exercise in each day (even if it is just a walk). Even if I lose a bit of weight I will still be in the next stone down. It makes a difference!!!
I'm convinced nearly all the battle is in our heads. I was jumping about with a new top on today (in a size 18 I hasten to add) thinking I looked great when really . . . helloooo . . . . I'm in a size 18 and I'm very fat but I just felt better knowing I had lost that tiny bit.
Hi Devo - I have six stone to lose too and like you just cannot imagine what a would look like if I ever managed it. Wishing you all the best in your efforts - it is so hard when you first start and you are used to having and doing what you want (all the things that got us big in the first place!). I'll be checking in to see how you get on.
Good luck to everyone x
(for anyone checking the time of this post then YES it is this late! I have been out tonight and five diet cokes later I am on a major caffeine buzz:rotfl:)0 -

Well done you! I thought I was going to let it all slip this weekend (being a bankholiday and all) but I've been uber determined :A
I've decided that my ultimate weight goal is 14st so that's a total loss of 4st 3lbs and I know I can do it. Joining Weightwatchers has really opened my eyes! I'm on 33 points a day at the moment and when I look through the eating out book it horrifies me. There is a burger which I've been known to have which is 41 points on its own! That would have just been for lunch too with something equally as bad for dinner
Good luck caity :T0 -
Everyone is doing so well, its fab!!
I heard back from ww on Friday and have a meeting with the Area Manager in two weeks about maybe being a leader and having a couple of classes a week, its exciting but nerve wracking at the same time and the next two weeks are going to really really drag.0 -
Keep up the good work everyone!0

Hello all
jtb2412 - can you add me to the thread please? My target weight is 10 stone exactly.
Did WW about a year ago and lost about a stone, then gave up. Been some recent changes in my life so decided its time to get back on the horse - this forum seems really supportive so hoping you guys can keep me motivated to get back into all those clothes that last fitted me five years ago!! (Gok Wan would have a field day with my wardrobe - nothing fits and I never want to buy anything new because of all the weight I am planning to lose!!) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
