Sometimes a good week can take a week to show.....stick with it you'll get there in the end. Also if you can get some cheap digital scales they are more accurate. If you feel less bloated then you probably have lost

My mum used to have some cheap digital scales and they were a bit inconsistent so I wasn't sure whether it would be worth getting any...maybe I'll reconsider though. Has anyone come across any which are reasonably priced and reliable?

That's pretty good advice actually shelvis, thanks. Fingers crossed next week will be better - I'm determined to stick to it and not let the disappointment of today lead to me consoling myself with a family size bar of chocolate :)

Mine are Salter ones from Argos think they were about ten pounds. Something else to remember is try to weigh on a flat hard floor as carpet can affect the scales

Hmmm maybe they werent so cheap.... you might be able to get them cheap elsewhere. Mine came with special carpet feet so I can weigh on carpet without it affecting them.

Thanks cheeky, I'm actually just looking at the Argos website now. I've got a £12.50 credit note from returning something a while ago so might use that towards some.

Do you find the Salter ones to be pretty consistent? If you weighed yourself 5 times in a row my mum's old digital ones would sometimes give you 5 different readings. I haven't looked at yours yet but it seems quite a few of the digital ones have a similar problem when you read the reviews.

Oh and thanks for the tip about carpet but I had already realised so can't blame my lack of weight loss on that! Annoyingly our bathroom is carpeted so I have to keep the scales downstairs and weigh myself in the kitchen as it's the only room we have with a hard floor.

I havent weighed myself that many times in a row. I will try it on Saturday on weigh day. I have weighed three times in a row though - just to make sure lol and each time was the same. I have mine on the carpet with the special feet and I got the same reading on them as I did when I went to the ww classes before changing to online only

Wow that sounds like a bargain! We've got a Wilko's in town so might have to make an effort to pop down there on Saturday and check those out.

They are on the sale section so not too sure if they are getting rid of them in all the stores, worth a shot.

I bought mine a few years ago and they are salter ones. They were quiet expensive though, think they measure everything - not that I ever use the other settings though :rotfl:
