Evening everyone ! xx
Had another good day here, been working lots so has kept my mind off food.
I finish work for good on 28th January so I'll have to find lots to keep me busy so that I don't undo all my hard work by eating because I'm bored . Once the weather impoves, I can get down the allotment and do some proper work.
Eating today:-
Brekkie - 2 slices ww bread with spread and jam and a satsuma
Snacks - HM cherry and almond fairy cake, raisins and an apple
Lunch - prawn salad wrap with seafood sauce, WW yoghurt
Dinner - WW recipe ham and brocolli gnocchi and 2p strawberry whip (1/4 packet)
Total points = 19 1/2 (points saved 3 1/2)
I might have to have a nibble soon though as I get a bit peckish around 9pm .
Exercise today was 45 mins walking (can walk a bit faster now the snow is thawing :rotfl:).
*vikki* I love crumpets and was thrilled when I realised they were only 1pt each :j. A nice easy breakfast and makes a change from toast/cereal. Also good for a low point snack too. I've generally got a packet or 5 in the freezer just in case :rotfl:.
Lilly ohhhh beefeater ! Nice that you can check values before you go, it's so much easier and you feel much better when you're in control. Nice that b/f is paying too :T.
cheeky thanks for the tip on the bread in packets, I'll know for future too.
Emmajane welcome ! I've done SW too and it never worked for me purely because the portions were huge ! WW is about portion control and healthy choices and you CAN eat potatoes and meat on the same day, just smaller quantities. Out of the 2 I much prefer WW and I'm sure you'll find it more 'relaxed' in that you can eat what you want as long as it's within your points. Keep us posted on how you're first week is going and don't worry about asking questions, we'll help if we can. I'll add you to the first page. Don't worry about a target weight yet, we can sort that out later.
shopaholic you'll soon get the hang of it. Stick with it and shout if you're not sure of anything.
bramble, I'm not sure when the online offer finishes. The cashback sites regularly change their amounts so it's not guaranteed that you would get the same offer on the 29th January. There's usually some kind of offer so if you miss out on this one, you might get another good deal.
jamtart glad you found us ! Sorry we run out on you, I did put a link up on the old thread, maybe I need to go back and make it big bold letters ...... sorry xxx Will add you to first page shortly
Well done on the exercise everyone, should be some good losses this week ! If you want me to pop on the first page what you've lost each week I can do that. I'll use green for a loss and red for a gain.
Right I'm off to make pack-ups for tomorrow. I'll pop on tomorrow evening and catch up with everyone
Edit: MissShoes I missed you !!! Really sorry. Welcome . I shall add you to the first page

Pizza Express tomorrow, thank heavens for their new WW range!
I am jealous of you off to Pizza Express! The new range of Leggero pizzas are really good. First time we went there I felt a bit miffed having to order the 'diet' pizza.... but it was LOVELY and felt like just the right amount to eat. I think they come in at about 8 points which is pretty good for a meal out. There is a blurb on their website linking to WW.
Managed to save half a point today- slowly clawing back a few from the weekend!fran-o0 -
I forgot you could freeze crumpets! Doh! I am on 20 points a day, I want to get things moving, so would dropping to 18p a day be alright?0

I can't wait!!! I'll look how many points they have in a mo. Just got to do the abs section on this Davina download.
She's a bit mad but the 'Kick Fit' bit is great!! Much better than the boring aerobics ones I've seen before.* Save £s - Lose lbs *

Hi Guys.
Need some advise on how to cut and peel a Butternut without losing fingers, I have been having problems !! (I can barely chop onions without losing fingers)0 -

The easiest way is to defrost it and allow 3.5 points per 100g. You may find some of it quite bad though, however very yummy!!
Thanks for thisI have loads in the freezer but no idea how to point it. Annoys me when things don't have nutritional info on - boo them!
Crumpets for 1pt? Sounds fabulous! I do love crumpets. Would make a lovely brekkie with scrambled egg white for 0pts:heartsmil Proud Weight Watcher :heartsmilStart Weight: 15st 13lb Current Weight: 10st 5lbTotal Loss to Date: 5st 8lb- - -Current 2011 Goal: Lose 8lb by 25th DecemberLoss This Week: -3 Total Loss 2011: -30 -

If I were you I'd stick to the 20 points. Cutting yourself down to 18 will only make it harder to lose the weight once you lose weight and are actually only allowed 18 pts a day - it would probably end in you coming to a stand still with weight loss which would be a bit rubbish!
Stick to the 20 points and try to be a little more active than you normally wouldExercise helps shift the weight x

Cutting it in half can't really be avoided but don't bother peeling it, you don't need to to roast it, the skin comes off really easily afterwards and actually tastes pretty goodGod is good, all the time
Do something that scares you every day
