  • This is the joy of WW. You can eat yummy filling foods and lose weight without feeling like you're starving yourself. There's nothing worse than feeling hungry, this is why most 'diets' don't work - however WW is a way of life, it's helping to train you to choose wisely with food, eat more of the right stuff, treat yourself once in a while, and never go hungry! :)

Oh I am glad! I don't think I'm going to find week days a problem but the weekends will be tough as my boyfriend or his housemates tend to cook for me and they are MASSIVE man portions.

Does anyone know which is the lowest point meal at Beefeater? We're heading there Friday even. Pizza Express tomorrow, thank heavens for their new WW range!

I'm having a bit of a problem with bread - the stuff you get from the bakery in supermarkets which comes in baggies that have no nutritional info on to point with. I've got a freezer full of buns, submarine rolls, tiger barms..a fabulous array of bread items..but.. how do I go about pointing this stuff?

The easiest way is to defrost it and allow 3.5 points per 100g. You may find some of it quite bad though, however very yummy!!

I just checked out the Beefeater menu online (never been to one of these, is it good?) and if you visit this page: http://www.beefeater.co.uk/ourFoodAndDrink/ourFood/index.php

You can click on 'Nutritional Information' link on whichever part of the menu you like, and it will come up with a whole page stating the entire nutritional info on every dish on that part of the menu - including cals and sat fats :)

Get your calculator out and decide what delicious food you're having :D

This is good to know, I may have to visit a beefeater then. Would be good if all restaurants did this!!

Awesome thank you!! I've been a couple of times but never been overally impressed I'm afraid (always slightly burnt and reaaaallly big delays between ordering and eating) but it's the nearest pub to my boyfriend and he's paying. Horrah!

Ooo I've just found Davina 'Fit' on itunes. £2.99 for 50 minute boxing and kicking workout. Done!

Had some crumpets for dinner as I was in a rush and starving. Get the right store own brand crumpets and they are only 1p without spread!

Anyone else watching the big fat diet show?

Walked home from work in the snow 45 mins so bonus points there! Missed my WW weigh in though :( Too far to walk.

How many calories would you say WW plan of 20 points is a day? Just wondering if its around 1200 like the diet shows?
  • MissShoes: I'm the same as you need to loose 6stone and I'm 5ft 1

I'm on 22 points a day which is quite managable now but I'm dreading when I'll need to drop points I'll really start to struggle as I like big portions.

JTB- :T:T congrats on the 4lbs.

Day 2 and all going well, I've done my Wii active for 2 days running, legs a bit sore, god I'm sooooo unfit.

B: Bagel with Scrambled Egg (5.0pts)
L: Baked Potato with Coleslaw & Melon (4.5pts)
D: HM Chicken & Sundried Tomato Pasta (6.5pts)
S: Crispbreads with Ham, Milk for Coffee (3.5pts)

Leaving me with 2.5pts for a snack later.

Catch you all later, I'm away to try on my dress (long story, I'll share later)

  • I think WW 20 points is more than 1200 calories, that's designed for quick fix loss I thought? I'd think WW is more like 14-1500? But what do I know - noodles were a surprise to me!!

I would guesstimate 1400 as 1 point roughly = 70 cals so 20 would be 1400 mind you that doesn't take into account sat fat.
