have just had a fab dinner!!! cottage pie with chips and some ketchup! the co-op basic range cottage pie works out to be 4.5 points and I got a small tin of the new potatoes in water which for the whole can was 1/2 point - I just drained them and cut them in half and baked them without oil and they were lovely!!!!!

I think the main thing I am strugging with is a pint of skimmed milk every day! I have never been a huge milk drinker so have been using it in my porridge instead of water and having a couple of small glasses throughout the day.

it took me ages to pick foods earlier - I never realised how much carp there was in foods (even those that claim to be healthy!) but I was good and checked the label against my little chart and if it looked too high it went back on the shelf! including lean minced beef and lean minced lamb even though they were both reduced to a fraction of the original price!!!

    Purplestar that is fantastic!!!

Really fancy chips later but have done really well this week and cant wait to see how much I have lost tomorrow so think I am going to get a couple of the tins of new potatoes (half a point per tin!) and bake them like I did last night cos they were lush!!!
Also have some coleslaw I will have with the chips and might even stretch to a couple of pieces of wholemeal bread and have a chip butty!!

I have 9 and a half points to use (am currently doing the fast track/starter track thingy where you have 17 points per day for 7 days) so might even indulge in a vodka and diet something later!!

co-ops own cheapy brand - I think they are 33p for a small tin!! though tonight I have got tescos own brand (not the cheap version) and they work out to be 1 point per small can  so I have put some of them in the oven with a bit of chili powder!

Thanks for sharing tips, Co-op is about 200 yards from me so will look for these tomorrow but can I ask, do you spray them with frylight or anything or literally just bung on tray in the oven? (am a rubbish cook!) Thanks

I just bung 'em in but I sometimes prefer them without oil (even before WW) - they taste more earthy if you know what I mean?!?!?!
the little ones in the tin would make fab roasters with a little spray oil!!!!

I havent tried them with oil to be honest - I need to invest in some at the weekend I think!!

any ideas of what I can eat at the christening I am going to on sunday? (apart from salad!!) I know to stay well away from anything that has pastry on it!!!

so far today I have had:
B: tomatoes on toast (no butter) 2 points
L: sainsburys basic spaghetti on toast (no butter) 1 1/2 points
D: home-made chips (no oil), low fat coleslaw, tablespoon of light salad cream and 2 peices of bread (4 points)
snacks: bag of WW hoops and a bag of WW nachos (very nice BTW!!!) 2 points

I have unfortunatly forgotten to drink my pint of milk today (I left it on the bus like a div!!) and as its friday I am having a couple of voddies with diet ginger beer!! though I have remembered to drink 2 pints of water today!
