Do not use this company - we did in July for an Asus tablet - no tablet, no refund and facing a long process to get our £330 back via our debit card. It's a scam - I can only think that any positive reviews online are fictional!

I paid £124.95 for a tablet . not received so cancelled the order as thet did not despatch it saying prosessing . they told me that it would be paid in 5 working days 30 days later and 10 phone calls and emails they keep saying the refund is prosessing .
still not received it so far

Apologies for sounding another note of dissent but I've bought two rather expensive cameras from Simply Electronics, a grand total of more than a £1000 and they turned up as described with UK chargers and warranty and in a timely fashion.

Don't buy from Simplyelectronics.net under any circumstances. I ordered a Nexus 10 on 23 August 2013 and am still waiting for it to be despatched, never mind delivered. I received numerous emails (several of each of these) saying things like "due to increased demand despatch is delayed", "Quality Assurance checks identified that it was damaged so it was sent back to the manufacturer", we will despatch your order next week" and "your increased patience is appreciated while we fulfil your order".

They took the money on the day of the order so they have had my money for the past 6 weeks.

I have today cancelled the order - it will remain to be seen how long I wait for this to be credited to my credit card!

simply Electronics having taken payment two months ago and not delivered refuse to refund the money or replace camera. They have been leading me on saying they will, but nothing after all this time! They should be prosecuted and closed down.

placed an order for a cannon d600 on 16t August 2013 and waited the 14 working days for my order. it didn't arrive. so i called the customer service number from the web site. located amongst pictures of lots of smiling white english people which cleverly give an inaccurate impression about the location of this company, which by the way is China. i was told my parcel would arrive soon and was apologised to humbly by the customer service advisor. a week past and no camera so i called back. eventually after much effort i am told that simply electronics dont actually have the camera in stock and have no idea when they will have it in stock.as much as i pushed for a concrete date i couldnt get one. not even close.i am told i cant be offered a different camera and. absolutely CANT be told the date i can expect the camera

(when you deal with simply electronics for a while you realise they arnt being incompetent by not offering you any form of timeline as people have suggested. they are in fact being incredibly clever and disingenuous in their vagueness. a DATE, any form of DATE means you have a commitment from them. and they will never ever give you that)

After reading the deluge of terrible reviews about this company online i decided to try and get a refund. which you have to request by email. even though they took the money from my account without actually having the camera to sell me. i still have to wait for a refund. how long? well, thats the genius of simply electronics. they will never give you a solid answer. you will hear words like 'from' and 'try' a lot. but never an actual timeline. never a date.

its now its October. i placed the order for my camera 2 months ago. cancelled the order and asked for a refund over 6 weeks ago and still no refund. . when you call them they roll out the apologise and ask for your cooperation. they will send an email, escalate it, tell a manager, etc etc etc but this is all part of the con. they fob you off with endless bull and do everything they can to cling onto your money. there is always a process that they have to follow. some convoluted unnecessary rubbish that serves to delay you a little longer. eventually i suspect most people just give up and they keep the money.

I have posted my experience on a few forums and attempted to contact the people who give simply electronics rave reviews. so far not a single person who has had a good experience has got back to me and i have spent weeks emailing. i suspect they are trojans from the company trying to create some balance. as yet i havent found anyone who has actually got their money back from this company or received an actual product from them. . i doubt there is anyone. i doubt they give money back. its my opinion that they are a clever and huge scam. if they just took your money and ran the banks would be able to seize back your cash. but if they do everything they can to appear to be an actual company that is just rubbish and incompetent they get to operate for longer and rip more people off.

my advice is stay away from these people at all costs. they are despicable con merchants who have no intention of delivering what their website offers. . they are a disgrace and it amazes me that they are allowed to trade. if you give them your money i can pretty much guarantee you a hellish journey full of frustration and disappointment which inevitably ends in you losing your money or your mind or both.

It's all been said by many other people, but this is an outfit I will never, ever deal with again. They are absolutely awful. They lie, they use every possible means of prevarication, they don't do anything they promise to do, all emails get the same stock response, and it took me several months to get the lens I was promised, a Pentax 43mm FA f1.9 Limited, within 7 - 10 days of ordering. DON'T TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE unless you enjoy stress and anger. The worst 'company' I have ever had the misfortune to meet. I should have been suspicious of the .net, but we all make mistakes.

Yes you guessed it, I too was stupid enough to buy from this company. However please be aware that their authentication software took payment by illegally accessing my Paypal account for bank details. Paypal have no record of any transaction, so no protection is available through them. The 3rd party company they are using to do this is SKRILL. I too have been promised a refund as they could not supply the item in time, and I cancelled the order.
I do not believe they should be allowed to hide behind Hong Kong law, and will be challenging their trading.
It is also a shame that whilst they were removed from Google in 2010, they now enjoy sponsored link status for their current trading

thanks for the warnings everyone, I saw a deal for a phone that I've had my eye on for a while, selling it £50-100 less than others/market price, was about to take the plunge when something in my head said, "do a bit more research, try consumer sites".... and what do you know!!
