Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh I've got an infected wisdom tooth.. AGAIN. So have spent the past few days feeling mostly sorry for myself lol. Have also been very busy with work and job hunting. Have applied for 6 jobs in all, one was perfect and they were really interested but it turned out the site I applied through had it down as Herefordshire when in fact it was Hertfordshire!! Bit too much of a commute that.. lol! First closing date is next friday so hoping to hear something soon.. *crosses everything*
Although I could afford to pay off a bit more I paid off £50 off my egg card today as I want to get a bit more cash in there before I start paying stuff off and being close to the breadline until next tax credits day. lol. I hate living week to week for money.. it sucks! Oh well. Only 13 days til payday! All being well I should be able to pay off up to £500 if everything goes to plan, but we shall see.
Also have details to look at about the cost of extra nursery sessions if I get a full time job so looking into that at the moment....
Right.. it's saturday.. I'm going to turn my brain off for the rest of the weekendTotal 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Afternoon all
Soooo excited as Brain and I have booked a holidayGoing to Barmouth in Wales with the kids in May for a long weekend. It also encompasses our first anniversary so is doubley exciting
We're going 50/50 and it has to be paid by the 12th March so won't be able to pay as much off the credit card as I'd originally planned, but it's all good as we're going on holidaaaaaay yaaaaaay
Am going to pay some more off the credit card this week, but I'm waiting until I'm certain it's gone through as I've had to pay it a different way to normal, so soon as the payment's cleared I'll pay more offMore than likely another £50 a week until I get paid. Although saying that I get paid a week on friday.. lol!
Speaking of work, still haven't heard anything from any of the jobs I applied for.. and tomorrow my manager has a meeting to see if one of the contracts I'm under is going to be renewed come end of March, if not I'll have to find a job before the end of March, rather than April, as my hours would drop to 14 which'd screw up my tax credits and childcare help..
*crosses everything*
Hope everyone's well!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Woohoo
The payment to my egg card went through fine.. so have paid another £50 off today which should be clear by the weekend. Egg balance is now at £844.33 and planning on paying more off on friday when my TC go in
I would've paid more off but need to allow for my bass lesson tomorrow, some food, car insurance etc to go out. Feels good to be paying off the credit card again, and getting addicted to seeing the balance creeping down....
Still nothing on the job front though... bum...Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Well.. it was bound to happen sooner or later.. the inevitable bump in the road. Had a letter from the housing association upping my direct debit by £200 a month due to my housing benefit being recalculated!! Have called and clarified it and it is right... but it's a hell of a shock. Seems the housing association calculated my DD wrong back in december, telling me it was £75 a month. Because of that I'm now also in rent arrears! B**tards!! In april it'll go back down to what it should be £204... but for the moment I'm stuck paying £272 a month for feb/april... greeeat. Have looked at my budget and I should still be able to pay off around £100/£150 off my credit card.. but I'm so sick of stuff going wrong whenever I start making headway!!!
F**k you karma!!! Where's my good fortune??Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Oh goodness, that's not good.
Seems so unfair that they mess it up and you have to suffer. At least your budget can cover it at the moment, and you are STILL able to reduce your debt, which is quite an achievement, but not much consolation.
Try not to let the bumps in the road get you down, you are still an awful lot further down the road than you were a year ago.
Fingers crossed you hear something about the jobs soon."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Now come on IA YOUR life would not be normal without these little trials !!!!
At least you can get through it and still debt bust. You will be debt free again and quite soon knowing you, so don't keep beating yourself up over it.0 -

aah wonderful. Add to the rent arrears and revised direct debit, £60 worth of council tax arrears I've had to pay off this morning. Again, because of the housing benefit/council tax benefit revision.
*shakes moths out of purse*
I have a very bad feeling this is going to be the start of a massively s*it day... you know when you have a really ominous feeling you're just going to have one of those days where it's bad news after bad news?Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
