  • Urgh what a day! I went to work this morning and ended up sitting in traffic for 2 and a half hours . God knows what'd happened but traffic was everywhere. Got to work in time to do about 50 minutes work and then had to leave again to pick KK up from nursery! What a nightmare.
Also had to go to Ash's school and meet her speech therapist. She's being assessed on wednesday to see if she needs any extra help. I've got no real concerns but better safe than sorry! Also had to take the girls for their swine flu jabs this afternoon. Wasn't sure whether to or not but after talking to Ian about it he made a lot of sense and I decided to go for it. Hope I did the right thing!

Have applied for 2 jobs now. Yet to hear from either of them so fingers crossed.. :\ Have been jobhunting a week or so now and everything seems to have dried up. hopefully something comes up...

  • In total I have now applied for 3 jobs. Found another one today with the CAB so got the application pack via email and sent it off. It's not debt work, just generalist advice, but I could do it standing on my head and the wage is good so I can't afford to be picky at the moment.. So fingers crossed I hear something from one of them!
The kids had their swine flu jabs yesterday and were both absolutely fine after. Ash has got a red patch on her arm where she had it but other than that no side effects at all. Was a very proud mummy :D
Go my decree nisi today too, but haven't heard off experian yet about them removing the financial link. It did say it could take a few days though.. typical.

Speaking of finances, I'm still in that weird interim periods of waiting for all my bills to go out so a little bit tight money wise at the mo but it'll be sorted come friday thankfully. It's that whole elongated end of the month feeling lol. I save up for the months bills over the previous month, knowing they're going to go out at the beginning of the next, (between the 1st and 10th) and then start the process again after.. lol I always have the money there for the bills ready, but it's usually fairly close as I have to pay my nursery fees at the end of each month too and there a good few hundred quid.... the joys of all my income being weekly bar my wages.. lol
Hopefully will be able to pay something off my egg card soon though. Friday is looking realistic at the mo so will pay something off even if it's not the £100 I wanted to last week. I will damn it! lolI currently have about £40 spare after all my bills have gone from last month..and approx £560 spare after feb's budget, so all being well should be able to get rid of a big chunk of it this month :) Fingers crossed at least...

    Hope everyone's well!

Good luck with the job hunting I am sure you will get something it is quite a specialised field. Lots of jobs gets advertised in Spring as the Local Authority Funding is usually granted at the start of April so I am sure there will be some more coming up.

lol I know what you mean, I've heard nightmare stories about LSC work. Have been looking at macmillan/shelter/RBL/Helptheaged/ageconcern/councils/cab etc. If I could afford to move to Leeds I'd be looking at CCCS too! lol
