Hey Laura :) I am alot newer than you but just wanted to say welcome back and I feel exactly the same some of the time - the shopping, the migraines, the bedbound! If I was you I would have a nice early night with some TV of your choice and hopefully wake up tomorrow with some new found energy x

Pink - hope your home safe and sound after your rounds

    Have a good evening everyone

She's been home and is out again to do her night time rounds and I'm sitting here worrying about her. :o

Had to go to Tesco for more fruit and managed to get some rtc rhubarb which I've chopped and frozen along with all the apples from the fruit bowl which were deemed too bruised to eat by the small Haribos.
OH is making the hot dogs for tea a(he has also just declared it wine o'clock and brought me a large Rioja:D) and I have some popcorn ready for afterwards when we'll watch a film I recorderd last night.

Hope everyone is warm and cosy.

    Haribo x

Does hubby make his own hot dogs, Haribo? If so, how? :)

Hope she is home safe, xx

Had a busy day again, lots more packing done, and things like curtain poles ( there are blinds up, which we are leaving) and mirrors taken down, also manages to get the rotary washing line down, and the spike out of the ground. We also had to rake through the snow looking for dog poos :o:o:o, did not want the new owner finding them once the snow melted :rotfl:.

Just had tea, and am going to open a bottle soon .

Bitterly cold here again, but we have the heating on, and its cozy, if cramped with boxes in here :D

    Have good evenings all xx

    Hi,
Nice to read the thread and catch up.
Late posting - Kids dad took me to Costco and we have stocked up now. Managed to get a bit of tidying done but it has not made much difference.

I rang my parents this evening as I wanted to make sure they were ok with the cold weather. They do my head in if Im honest. Im an only child and they are both elderly now. My mum is the brains and my dad is the brawn - my mum is very physically disabled but with it and my dad is very fit but very eccentric verging on ? Anyway I cant influence them in any way as Im still a child in their eyes but i worry about them and their spartan way of living - OS in the extreme. They dont have the heating on enough, they dont go to the doctor when they are sick....my mum has a chest infection at the moment but wont see a doctor. I tried telling my dad she needed to see one but NO. I have tried ignoring them as Im not well and worrying about them does me no good but Im their only child so cant keep that up for long.

Im heading for bed now. Im shattered and fancy watching telly with my hot water bottle.
    Hugs,
    Mollyx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Molly - do you have any Aunts or Uncles that could have a word?

Well B Gas booked an engineer visit for tomorrow, we made a massive log fire then after a while realised that we were getting very warm & the rads had warmed back up again :confused: don't know if there was a airlock that moved itself. Anyway someone else can have our appointment tomorrow - they were so busy on the phones.

Caroline - that was so lucky.

I have survived the day, I have browsed on the net looking for music ideas for our wedding in Dec:cool:
DS and I have sorted our song that we are going to walk in to.......as one of his favourite films is Pinocchio we are walking in together to "when you wish upon a star":o:p:D.......it also has meaning for me as OH coming into our lives was like a wish come true for us and I love our little family.
Only problem is it does make me cry:o....I am emotional anyway and this will make me worse:eek:. Anyone got any tips for how you keep control of yourself on your wedding day?
Hope everyone is warm and safe in this cold

    Oh, ok.

DDs like the tinned hot dogs, but I don't like them having them and wondered if there was a recipe for making your own. They taste different to sausages apparently

I don't even want to think what goes into tinned hot dogs :D
