Hi Everyone
I have not been around for the last few days, definitely hit with the January blues when I got back to work. Went from not wanting to be there, to thinking I am not good enough at my job (after uni for 4 years and working for 4 years to get there) to thinking I want a career change to absolultely loving it and having the best productive day since I started there. Poor OH has all kinds of emotions this week!! I am sure it is just Jan blues and it is time of month sorry it TMI, so it is just one of those things.
I could really feel it slipping into the "mean reds" at one stage though so I am really glad I seem to have pulled myself out the other end and am trying to keep it in check.
My goodness I am really depressed with no money. I don't get paid until 15th. Again typical January. I think in the past though it has just been uh-oh debts chasing me and can't pay etc, whereas now I do so well on little money when I get it, I just wish I had someWon't even post meal plans this week as potato waffles, potato waffles, potato waffles. Roll on next Friday.
Feel very old today (I am 26) I went out with OH and his friends last night, I have hardly seen my OH lately because we work opposite hours so I went along....in the snow.....wearing heels that got ruined at a night out a few months ago so I won't cry if they get snow on them LOL I had 2 nights in the past few months crying over those shoes! But did not drink much as obv could not afford. Could possibly be my first night sober when everyone else is drunk......funny the things you notice, the toilets are FILTHY! The floors are filthy! People are rude! Drunk people can't hear you! The music is really loud......my ears still hurtLOL at the end my OH etc were like what no it can't be the end already and I was like OMG this was the longest night ever!!! But it is the same when you are drunk yourself, you just lose concept! And I have no problem having a boogie sober so had a great time.
Not sure what plans are today. Poor OH on morning shift v v v v hungover. He has friends here, usually I would be feeling all hospitable and have many empty weeks hoping for such a weekend, but having no money affects everything!
Have a lovely day everyone, snow here is just annoying now, not enough to really affect anything but just hanging around and not going away.
Might come on later for some food stretching ideas for when I get paid next weekDebt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

Morning all,
Not much OS-ing going on here today - off to work shortly. Tomorrow I plan to have a mass clean up and see what's what.
Catch up later - Hugs to all as always x0 -
Hello all, hope its ok to join in. I used to hang out here a long time ago and after popping in to have a quick look at something the other day I remembered just how lovely and supportive you all were. I am struggling to find my feet as a newly single parent and hope that OS is the way to go:D Also my cooker died and I can't afford to replace it so I am relying on my Bread mkaer, slow cooker and george foreman for everything
So hope you all have a good day and aren't too inconvenienced by the snow - I need to spend the day decluttering and don't know where to start :snow_laug HM Christmas 2010

Back again - guess who forgot to check the Birthdays
Happy Birthday Mummysaver :bdaycake: have a fabulous day!
Been out to feed the birdies and a short walk with the doggies, dosed both ears when i got back and now can`t hear a thing  young doggie was barking at something not long ago and i could just hear that but no idea what it was - so frustrating. Painkillers have now kicked in so feels better but very quiet :rotfl:Yeah its a slow cooker but the pot lifts out so think you can keep it in the fridge ready and not sure if it can be used to start stuff off on the hob.
its the same as all the ones that i`ve seen then, i have the Morphy Richards 6.5 litre one which i use for batch cooking to fill the freezer and huge joints of gammon etc and more recently i got the tesco 3.5 litre one which i seem to be using all the time
Both have removeable crocks which can be put in the fridge but neither can be used to start things off on the hob - i have never seen one which can do this. If i`m taking the crock from the fridge i leave it to get to a higher temperature for an hour before switching the sc on and when the food is ready i don`t take the crock from the sc base at all as the sudden change in temperature can weaken the crock and cause it to crack.
There are a couple of slowcooker threads in old style, one with recipes and one called "in my slow cooker today" these make a good read for ideas. (think someone linked to some earlier) I wouldn`t be without mine.

To all those persevering getting to work especially Taplord and those in essential services, many thanks and well done for keeping us all going:T
OH is managing to get round with the post on his bike with no snow chains (they're on back order...) but next week ain't looking promising!
Off to do the oldies grocery run in a mo so any suggestions of bits that may come in handy would be appreciated (things they may not see as essential but would be of comfort)
Well better get my lists sorted
Stay safe everyone
