She isn't technologically savvy enough to be honest......
Well, that was a load of vague waffle.
We have until 5 Jan to put our thoughts forward to the proposals. After that there will be job descriptions written and then pay bands given to the jobs.
My colleague (who basically doesn't have a job in the new structure) asked how we all fitted in to her new structure and she went red and waffled on about not being able to be specific until we had put our thoughts forward.
She didn't answer any question at all, she gave a management speak answer without actually answering the question.0 -
Are you sure you don't want her job? Can you talk rubbish?

I'd like the salary ZTD, but not the pressure!!
I can't waffle very well unfortunately. I'm not very good at the management speak, because I don't believe in it, I just think its all just a load of rubbish!!!
It was interesting to watch her, I've never seen her go red before, she looked nervous and flustered.
Going out for a birthday meal tonight for my friend at work. It is a stuff your face with as much as you like until you feel ill for £10 chinese restaurant.
I'm looking forward to the food (mmmmmmmmm, chinese) but I still don't feel confident enough to be going out, even though it is with people I am very comfortable with. Weird really.0 -

Pressure? Pressure!? She screws up on tens of thousands of leaflets and the Chief Exec says "never mind". She drops more bollox than an oxen "fixer" and yet she's safe in the knowledge that someone (you) will bail her out (again).
Who is the one going home thinking about what work will bring in the morning? Yet you claim you couldn't handle pressure....oakdale_minx wrote:I can't waffle very well unfortunately. So be a straight talking manager. OK - they're rare - but they do exist.oakdale_minx wrote:I'm looking forward to the food (mmmmmmmmm, chinese) but I still don't feel confident enough to be going out, even though it is with people I am very comfortable with. Weird really.
No it isn't. It's a sign of your self-confidence having ebbed away. Go anyway. There - I told you to, so you can blame me if it goes badly wrong..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Well, I went to the meal, although the food was nice, I didn't really enjoy the evening. There were six of us and all the others wanted to talk about was what a nightmare my boss is!! I didn't have a drink because of the Prozac and was more than ready to go home after main course!
It cost me £18, the meal was £12, I had two lime and sodas and the tip. The bill was split equally six ways, which I felt a bit mean as I hadn't had any wine, but I think that was the new DFW me!!!!0 -
That's always a tricky one at the end of an evening. In my pre-DFW days I was happy to just throw in my share and expected everyone else to do the same. Nowadays I'm more conscious of a) my own budget and b) other people may be secret dfw-ers as well - best solution so far I've come across is if you knock a bit off for all those who didn't have booze or all those who didn't have a pudding etc.
