Cruella has telephoned AND emailed me from home twice today!!!
And now as I'm typing this she has phoned me again!!

It is job day in the local paper today and there is nothing in there for me. I felt, for the first time, the tiniest little flutter of panic. I have to keep calm and remember that even if I get made redundant, then I have AQA from day 1.

Just thought I'd add acomment. Dont panic!! You'll be fine I promise. I did EXACTLY the same as you (except my cruella was male)) He made me cry once too often and I handed in my notice with no job lined up (Mad but its what I had to do to save my sanity)

I stuck it out for the 3 months and found a perfect job, the boss is an angel and really supportive and it made me wonder just why I'd put up with him for so long!!

Get your revenge when you've left, I found an article in a magazine about bullying bosses and sent it anonymously!! (sp?) - he must ve know it was from me and it made me smile!

I agree. Don't panic. If there are any temping agencies nearby why not call in over lunchtime and see which offer you the best hourly rate & sign up. You can probably sign up with a couple of places. :rolleyes:

I don't know if this is still true, as I have been out of banking for a few years, but Principlality BS always used to take more "personal" approach to their mortage lending. They didn't even use credit reference agencies (probabaly do now), they just looked at personal ability to pay. Lots of the IFAs here (Wales) used to use them for for cases that wouldn't go the conventional route and they still got good rates. As the are a Welsh BS, it might be something and English IFA wouldn't think of. Might be no good, but you neer know! :-)

Seems I was one of the lucky ones - I got paid today!!! Wouldn't have wanted to be one of the 400,000 who didn't get their salaries because of the BACS problems even more so with nothing being able to be done until Monday.

I'm hoping the quote will be waiting for me from First Active when I get home. I'll get everything together and pop it back in the post tomorrow.

I'd forgotten to tell my OH about the £340 worth of charges I'd found and he was there when the post arrived yesterday with the claim acknowledgement document from Northampton. He was a bit 'high and mighty' with me - how could you have found some more? He was ok after that, although he did try to give me a bit of a lecture - if you can't manage your money now, how will you cope if you get made redundant.

I think I manage my money very well these days!

Why do you put up with him? I've never commented on your OH before but many others have and you just dont seem to want to hear (not being mean just want to understand)

I would NEVER write on these boards anything negative about my OH and if he was treating me as badly as yours was then I wouldnt put up with it.

Seems to me maybe you lack in confidence and somehow feel you "deserve" to be treated poorly?? (cruella and OH?)

Is this true? If you love him then I dont understand why you keep putting up with his comments to you. You must know what we are going to say as we dont like you being spoken to like that!!!
