OM, I am so glad things are really perking up at work. Sounds like you had a good break too which is good for the soul too.
ZTD, you crease me up with your one-liners - love em!:D
Doesn't it ever occur to you, OM, that every man you have come across in the last week or so has been lovely except you-know-who?
Just imagine how much quilt you will told him to "sling his hook" (not to mention gourmet grub in the freezer!)
Does make you wonder.....Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Hi OM,
I have read your diary religiously since I joined MSE. Your courage and the determination you have to tackle your debts and to face up to Cruella is an inspiration. :A
Now obviously I don't personally know you and you don't know me. But, I have held back for so long now, I'm sorry I can't hold it back any longer.
Please, please get rid of that useless freeloader that is constantly undermining you and your determination to succeed in life. All the while he is in the background, he will always be dragging and putting you down. What you need is encouragement and pats on the back not snidey remarks and put downs. He makes me sooooooooo angry and I don't live with him!!
Sorry if I'm out of place but I just had to say it.
Good luck in everything you do.Proud to be dealing with my debts ONE day at a timeStopped smoking 25.05.07 - Saving £7.80 a day:j Successfully claimed bank charges of £2598.39 as of 1st June 2007:j0 -
OM and Dragon Lady,
Sorry-I completely agree with her post...

Is that because they aren't owned by Rover?
PMSL Zed, you're on good form as usual!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
OM - em, have to agree with Dragon lady....... :rolleyes:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Dragon Lady - you aren't speaking out of turn at all. Sometimes I just sit and run the conversation through my head where I tell him 'it just isn't working', but that's as far as I've got......
Well, week 1 of my redeployment over. 6 weeks left to either get myself a new job at work or 6 weeks before i'm thrown back into the community with a £16,600 pay off......
I re-found a bit of Cruella-squashed initiative yesterday and wrote to the Directors and Assistant Directors who I know really well. I let them know I was on re-deployment and whilst HR would help me look for a full time post I would be very interested in any secondment/short term project or contract work. There is often lots of it floating around and the departments just put out feelers for available people and if I don't tell them I'm interested and available, then they won't know!
Not only would it give me the chance to do a few different things for maybe a couple of years, it would still mean the same salary in the bank for a while more, and if a secondment came to an end I would still qualify for redundancy. And of course, the longer I can hang on, the more redundancy I will qualify for.
And I will be edging closer to my DFD!0 -
Congrats on defeating the hideous dragon OM, and good luck with redeployment - sounds like everything's finally coming up roses (or chocolate beetroot cakes, don't know which would be better!!)2007 Bronze Olympic Challenge: Total £1057.34 :jDFW Nerd 269: Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0

Hi OM,
No conversation needed really. Just imagine yourself as Barbara Woodhouse [the strict dog training lady], point at the front door and say 'OUT' in a very firm tone of voice.
Glad to see your first week went well.

Just don't blow up his nose. Unless it is with dynamite.
