Ive read your whole diary over the last few days. You're doing really well. Ive just hit 40 which made me decide its about time I sorted our finances out. At least you are aiming to be debt free by the time you get to my age.
Sorry to hear about the exam. Hope you managed to sort out resits or whatever you need to doDebt at lightbulb moment (Dec 06) £60,502

Thankyou all
I've stopped crying now and I feel tired.
I really didn't expect to fail. I didn't think I'd done gloriously but I felt I'd done enough to pass. I came out of the exam having answered the questions needed on subjects I had revised for. I revised for three weeks and felt I had answered the questions well. There's no way to have the paper re-marked, but I can re-sit and should get some paperwork in about six weeks.
The problem is, other than having to revise all over again and chance getting questions I can't answer next time, I felt that I answered them well enough and with enough detail etc. If I feel I've done well and can't pass, is there any point going through it all again if I've already given my best? I've seen a breakdown of my marks per question online and i got 30-39% for each one, so all of them were under the pass mark, even individually. I really felt that two were good (as in i'd included loads I'd revised) and one was enough to get the needed marks.0 -
Is there anyone who can go through the answers in more detail with you, to hopefully give you an idea of what they were looking for, and explain how the answers would have been scored? Obviously a lack of preparation was not the problem, as you sound like you put a lot of effort in.
Try and relax until you get the paperwork through about the re-sit - then you can see how you feel. The crying will probably have helped, and in a couple of days you will be able to weigh up your options with more of a clear head."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
and of course......although work paid half....I also contributed £260 towards the fee for the year......
Hi Snaggles.....no, unfortunately not. I've had a look on the OU website and at the letter I've had and there isn't any feedback etc.
It's put doubt in my head about continuing with the Masters. The fee for 2007 is £1100. I've already registered for this module and I've emailed today to see if I can cancel or transfer my registration to a module later in the year. If I can't pass this one on re-sit there isn't any point in wasting any more money.0 -

Well on their site there is this:
Queries and formal appeals but I can't see it because it asks me to log in. Does this have anything to say?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -
I've logged in but it says it's an area I'm denied access to.
Cheers for looking anyway, appreciated.
blimey I'm cold today. Had a bad night's sleep.
Need to get on with AQA.
Going to put the Christmas tree up this weekend, but it doesn't feel very Christmassy!0 -
Another day on AQA.
Feel quite positive about the job situation today. Even if she gets rid of me, I will have two shots at re-deployment, which could lead to absolutely anything. And even if the worst comes to the worst and I lose my job, although I will get a pittance of a redundancy package, at least I have AQA to prop me up a little until I at least get something part time.
As well as the relief of parting company with the dragon, I would take great delight in dragging them through a constructive dismissal case, armed with a log of bullying and colleague statements to say how I have been treated.....
Maybe losing my job would be a better option all round!!!!........(ok, maybe not!)0 -
one door closes another one opens Im sure there is a better dragon free boss and job waiting for you:j Where there is a will there is a way - there is a way and I will find it :j0

My car has now started coughing and spluttering. I've stuck a load of fuel in to it but it is stil doing it a bit. i'm probably getting paranoid about it all but I do wonder if i've bought a lemon........0

I've just joined this site, and spent all morning reading your journal, and i must say you're really inspiring in the way you're dealing with everything and things that are unexpectedly thrown your way. I'm a 2nd year uni student, and am trying to save money so when i finish i can start paying back my loan straight away, and you've given me lots to think about! keep your chin up about the exam, there are so many things you can do out there, if you just look. xBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
