totally agree with you!!!!! I love this thread - I dont even know you OM but feel like I do!!!! I hope that there were things pending to go into the bank because you have done so well in sticking to your budget :T0 -
I'm blushing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (is there a smiley for that?!!)
I think I'm very ordinary to be honest. I am a bit mad round the edges I guess but I am just generally plodding through life....
Don't get caught Jet!!!
I've looked back at my account and I'm ashamed to say I have well and truly messed up. I didn't realise, but I've had to pay some bank charges and they have deducted them today. A couple of other things have finally gone through as well, but my account is a complete mess now. Guess I'll be sending a bank charge refund letter - I still have the ones from last month to do!
I also have to say, there is no hope for me I think........I did 1471 when I got in from work just now and recognised the number as the local radio news room, and wondered why they would call me at home, as I only spoke to them this morning about a press release I'd sent out........I've just pulled up the press release on my work laptop (I work from home in the afternoons).........and I've given all the local and redional media my home telephone number to call with any press enquiries about an event on Monday.......what a numpty I am..........:o
My work and home number are quite similar.......well that's my excuse anyway.......:rolleyes:0 -
Arranged just now to have the Carlton taken away Monday
I was silly really because I could have got £16 of the tax back if I'd have organised myself a bit better but I just didn't get around to doing it.
I will be given £30........not much for a hell of a lot of car. Not worth fixing in any way , shape or form, but it is a sad end for it.
£30 though, I guess I have to be sensible and it is better to have the bit of cash rather than it sitting on the road for any longer than is necessary.
This year i've said 'no' to all the Christmas dinners and lunches. A mixture of being sensible about the cost of it but also mixed in that I just can't be bothered.
I've said 'yes' to a birthday dinner next Thurday. It is at a chinese buffet restaurant and will cost me £10 plus any drinks. Because of the prozac I daren't drink at all, so it will be a cheap night out. I still don't feel 'up to' going out, it's difficult to describe, I get scared now at the thought of going out even with people I know really well.
OH casually said last night that the Labour club he drinks at have their New Years Eve party tickets on sale........and it is strictly members only.....I am just waiting for him to say he is going on his own......lets just say he won't go without me telling him exactly what I think of that......0 -
Hi O_M,
I always read your diary and think you are doing so well.
I just wanted to give you hugs, regarding the social situation. I used to be in the same position, I would stay in for so long that I almost became scared of it (I don't know if that sounds stupid). I think it is important to have the occasional night out with friends, even though it will cost a few ££.
As for your OH, I really hope he doesn't let you down again, you seem like a wonderful, kind person and deserve to be treated with respect.Saving for an early retirement!0 -
If he does go without you I hope you leave a big footpring on his bum when you kick him out!!!!!
its good that you are going out - have fun and enjoy yourself! my mom always told me you dont have to have a drink to enjoy yourself and its true (sometimes I have had an even better time laughing at all the drunk people i'm with!)
:grouphug: :xmastree: big hugs for OM round the tree!!!!0 -
I've failed my Masters exam..........anyone think life has anymore !!!!!! it can throw at me?0
-
You poor thing,
and not only that but no-one else has commiserated, perhaps they've all gone round with their red pens to re-mark your exam for you, or draw silly moustaches on the examiner....
I've never written before, but have read all through your diary about a fortnight ago, so can't remember what else was going on in your life at the moment you took the exam.
Please keep your chin up though, can you retake it?0 -

Really sorry to hear that. Where can you go from here - any resits etc. ?
Were you expecting to do as badly as you did? There may be a marking error if it came as a bolt out of the blue."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Sorry to hear about your exam Oakdale_Minx, you must feel absolutely gutted. I do hope there is some way you can resit or something.
Take care, love Snaggles xx"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
