    MMM did someone mention pie???:D
Hope you are feeling better today Minxie, just been catching up on how you're doing :T
  • Well, I don't feel too good today :(

woke up again with a banging headache over one eye and my neck is more swollen :(

Sitting here 'working from home' as instructed.......and being very unproductive work wise. In fact all I've done is email a colleague I share the office with to tell her the mystery year on the radio........apparently my old (lovely) boss popped in and is going to email me.

have chopped up one of the pumpkins and roasted it off. Just about to pulverise it and make something. think one pumpkin should make a cake, a pie and a cheesecake. Not bad for 20p!!! Two more still on the top of the fridge.

24 hours to my car's MOT. Not looking forward to it, as whatever happens it won't be a cheap day. :(
  • I'll keep my fingers crossed for you tomorrow with your car. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Hope you get better soon :)
    I :heart2: saving money

Probably not but at least then you will know the cost so one less thing to stress about ;)
  • Maybe i'll give it a hoover inside today........might help it pass......

    No!!!!!!!! It might be just the dirt that's holding it together!!!!!!! Also, you don't want to hoover up the good luck fairies:o .

Hope it goes OK for you.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Oh, no.......I've hoovered it!!!!!!!

I wondered what the squelching sound was going into the tube......I thought is was a nutrigrain wrapper.........:o

I've even filled up the windscreen washer reservoir........this is serious preparation.........
  • O-M,
YOu may laugh, but a garage is more likely to pass an MOT if it's clean and tidy (I saw this on Top Gear or something one time, honest!)
Can I PM you for some info? I've applied to AQA and would like a bit more info as to what is involved...if you don't mind!
Hope you feel better soon-you sound as though you are very very ill...

  • Hey oakdale_minx :hello:

Just read through the entire thread (what can I say, you're very addictive ;) ), and just wanted to say you're doing great - you've come SO far in just a few months.

Hope you're feeling at least a bit better.......

Oh and btw, my parents live near near Poole, and so I'll be down at christmas - let us know if you need someone to come round and give 'what for' to your boss!! ;):p

    Remember the MoneySaving mantras!

    IF YOU'RE SKINT......
Do I need it? Can I afford it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?

    IF YOU'RE NOT SKINT......
Will I use it? Is it worth it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?
