No, it didn't........I'm almost crying but not quite............I ran a thread of positive thoughts needed..........but I think hoovering the good luck fairy up was the crunch........it's back on the driveway.
i've just had a look on auto trader and there are a couple around the £450 mark locally and the guys have given me a garage name to look at where there second hand cars, but the garage isn't dodgy.
I just want to go out and look now. Although my MOT runs out tomorrow I'm now not legal to drive as it has failed.
What a waste of £40........
And I bet my OH doesn't want to come car shopping tomorrow. Every time I've mentioned it over the last 2-3 weeks he has said 'not to jump at the first car I see'.....it would help if I got to go and see some!!! Every time I said 'I'm changing the car' he would say 'put it through the MOT first and then see' and every time I said 'I'm going to wait until it goes through the MOT' he would say 'what's the point if you are going to change it.'
I know why he is doing it. He has a friend who owns a very large place where insurance write offs go. There are some very nice cars which are safe to drive but weren't financially viable to fix. I know him too well. He will try and make me wait until his friend has something suitable for me and he will push me to buy that.
GGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR..............sorry, bit of frustration.......and I feel just as ill. Good job I had mumps when I was 4 because I have all the symptoms and the pain in my neck is doing my head in a bit (well, a lot really, I've had a headache for three days now)0 -

You'll just need to try your best to be assertive and decide on what you think is the best option for you and getting a new car. Would it be viable to try going wihtout a car and using public transport?
BTW. How is it going with the prozac?Skint- Gall

Public transport isn't a viable option unfortunately
where I used to live I used to get the bus to and from work not a problem, the bus stop was literally outside. He isn't in at the moment, i can hear him now when I say what I want to do.......sigh...
Literally just taken today's happy pill. Don't feel any different (definitely ain't feeling happy!!!) and weirdly, I feel worse. But that is I think due to this 'lumpy neck' thing I have.0 -
I have been taking them for 10 days now and I am feeling a bit better for it. It may just be that I am expecting to feel better and therefore I am or it may be down to the pills. What ever the reason I am not feeling as bad as I was two weeks ago.
I hope you get the car you are looking for. Do you have anyone else who could come with you to look for a car like a friend or relative who may be knowledgable about cars?Skint- Gall

Anything safe and reliable to do me for a year maximum would be perfect.....I ain't fussy.......:o
Only person I know good with cars is my OH really. I don't have any family down here.0 -
I am so sorry o_m!
Could anyone from work pick you up and drop you off for a week or two? It might be a good idea to shop around and maybe go when you're feeling better.
Would your OH be able to take you to and from work?Saving for an early retirement!0
