My OH went off to Spain yesterday for his overnight birthday present I got him. My thoughts turned to spending an evening doing what I fancied doing... ...and that I could have a takeaway!! :T
I decided I would have a Chinese, then I decided Sweet and Sour chicken, then I got the menu out, and decided that the set meal for one would be great.....£6.30 plus £1.50 delivery as it was under £15......I was scuppered as I phoned and it was shut!
Although I have a drawer full of takeaway menus I gave myself a good talking to and told myself I would regret spending that money later on in the month.
So I chucked a shepherds pie in the oven instead and stopped myself spending almost £8 on a meal.
I woke up this morning and felt very pleased that I hadn't wasted £8 :A0 -

It was hard beanie lou.........:o
Spoke to payroll this morning to ask about my new pay band. My new salary will come into force from the end of this month and so I should clear about £110 extra a month. I have the car tax to pay for on my new car, so I wanted to know whether I would have the money or not extra.
Can't wait until I get all the backdated pay :T ..........although that probably won't be until January/February  .......it'll be worth having though :j0 -
well, it has took me roughly a day to read through the posts (i'm meant to be working ! what a thread!! what an inspiration you are! glad that you have found the strengh to fight the banks - I only plucked up the courage about a week ago after practically living on the 'claim back monies' thread (again - I read from start to finish, again during work time  )and am about to post my request to First Direct. I am so glad you spoke up to your OH - he sounds a bit of a loser to be honest... makes me wonder how much HIS electric and gas bill is each month considering he is never there! he should be paying half of your electric and gas - either that or start charging him rent!!!!0

Feel a bit like I'm treading water today.....no, that's not a very good description. I know I have to sort out getting rid of the old car, but I can't be bothered. And I know I have to chase up the £50 in bank charges but again, I can't be bothered.
Hopefully won't be feeling as lazy tomorrow.0 -
