ooooh, Bunny, it was fab.......thankyou.....I definitely think some of the remaining 2 pumpkins I have will be going the same way........i've taken a tub of the pumpkin soup out of the freezer this morning for my lunch.
The new car is good. Can't believe I've had it a week already.
Took the boot struts off the Carlton this morning so will get them on ebay today or tomorrow. Should get £10 or so for them as they aren't made any more and are very difficult to come by.0 -
Blimey O-M,
Did you take the struts off yourself? Sound like a 'man' job, lol
I did my first 2 mystery shops the other day-need to find the tinme to do 3 more...

Hi Bunny - they were really easy to be honest. They pulled off at the top and then lifted out of a ball and socket type joint.
No bids on them yet, but its early days.
My parents are coming to see me for a couple of days tomorrow so I need to do shopping that includes extra food for a couple of days. Luckily I'm pretty well stocked up on the basics, so the shopping list isn't looking too horrendous.0 -

Water pump bearings apparently....he said other than that (oh, and he reckons the cam belt being too tight) it was a fantastic car......doesn't help that i'm now going to have to shell out money on it in the next 24 hour or so.....nursed it home. I smelt rubber as I went in to the space and there was some kind of smoke coming from under the bonnet......
I think I've just broken the world record for eating 6 Tesco chocolate mini rolls......I feel a bit sick, but in the circumstances it was 68p well spent....0 -

Only 6??

Phoned my friend who is a mechanic and he has said to call him back tomorrow and he will book it in. Hopefully he will be able to fit it in Tuesday. He has said he will give it a look over to make sure it is the water pump before fitting one and it turns out not to be.
I feel like I'm paddling against quicksand again, every day feels like a struggle.
If it weren't for the fact that apparently Prozac and alcohol mix very badly, I would have bought a very big, very cheap bottle of wine !!!0 -

Don't worry about it. Having something break is a traditional part of getting another car. Luckily, it's a water pump - which are usually cheap and usually accessible.
Have you scratched it yet? You will...
